This is not how it works when you are reporting at a game.

There's a place in the press box for reporters, possibly a spot for photogs, sometimes they don't let you shoot your own video.

IN GAME, you have very little access to anyone.

The only way a reporter MIGHT find out in game, is if they communicate via phone/text and have a source who will put their own job in jeopardy if the HC doesn't want injury news out.
