Most rantards predicted 5-6 losses.

Great job O and staff

LSU vs Texas is going to be a huge matchup

I see us both being top 5 preseason just for ratings.

How is Florida tied with Georgia in spite of losing to them? How is Georgia ahead of Texas in spite of losing to them? The polls reflect the season as a whole, not just an overreaction to the last game.

There could be an argument for Ohio State at 2.

If you look at the season overall, I think you could argue LSU had a better year (even though they lost the head to head matchup)

LSU's best win was a 20 point victory over a UGA team that crushed Florida. Florida's best win was an 8 point victory over LSU. Florida dominated the 8th ranked team in the bowl game. LSU beat the 7th ranked team in their bowl game with essentially their 2nd team defense.

Each team's losses are probably the separating factor. UF lost at home by 11 to a good UK team and by 21 to a very average Missouri team. LSU got dominated at home by Bama (who UF didn't play) and lost a crazy heartbreaker at A&M.

If you subjectively put UF ahead of LSU I think most would agree with that choice. However, there are reasons to put LSU ahead of UF based on the total body of work.

LSU #6 in final AP poll

Congratulations Coach O, players and staff. Well deserved for a good season. Next year should be that much better. I'm looking forward to see what improvements the staff makes in order to have an even better season in 2019.

Very well said. The polls are a reflection of the entire season and not based on one game.

It was another 9 win season capped off by a bowl win over a team that we were expected to beat.

I'm hoping LSU can take a leap forward towards consistent 10-11 win regular seasons, but with this team's inability to to generate consistent offensive output and tendency to lose games they shouldn't lose, I'm very skeptical we will be out of the 8-9 win slump any time soon.

This was another average year by LSU standards. Unless you are into moral victories, in which case, grats on one of the best season ever.

Their only loss was to the #6 team in the country, and they have no other top 25 wins.

LSU standards meaning what?

What Miles strung together a few seasons at LSU a decade ago?

Miles had this ship on a downward trajectory. This was LSU’s highest finish since 11’. You need seasons like this one to even think about returning to the ridiculous standard you are trying to hold them toX

“Average year by LSU standards”....bwhahahaha .. LSU fans are so fricking dumb & delusional

#6. I'll take it, especially considering where most people projected us at the beginning of the year.

There is certainly lots of room for improvement, but we are refining every year and making the right moves to keep things going in the right direction, and I believe next year and those that follow will reflect that.

I'm a happy Tiger today.
