Crazy we can’t find more than two relievers that can actually pitch functionally.

Yea, I don’t see how those guys were laying off those pitches above their heads. Real plate discipline.

I had high hopes for Ware after hearing about his fall. But how does he see any more time after today?

30 pitches, 18 balls.
7 batters -> 4 walks, 1 HBP

I think he is in mayers territory with the control, maybe worse based on recent outings, and yes, i know a couple pitches were close

Jay is a bout to turn Ware into a Noot. He's a witch!

I remember hearing in the off season that Ware was doing really good. In live action he’s looked pretty bad.

Time for Ware to join Benge in “wave the white flag” role of our bullpen

Ump didn’t help, 3 or 4 of those in this inning were strikes called balls. But the performance overall is completely unacceptable. Ridiculous to not be able to throw strikes at this level.

At least have some competitive pitches so we can try to blame the ump. That opportunity is not there with Ware’s start tonight.

They gave him a pretty long leash to try to work through it because SC sucks and LSU is going to score runs. But there’s a limit.

And he hit a specific spot three times in two batters that should have been a strike but wasn’t. Things would look a lot different if he got those calls.

But based on the reactions and the personal attacks on the kid in this thread, I’m done here for the night.

ware is one of those pitchers you watch and just wonder how he made it on the roster. brutal

Because he doesn’t look like this until the bright lights are on. It’s mental. He was evidently great in the Fall and looked good in a few games. He probably does great in practice. There’s a reason he keeps getting looks on the doorstep of the postseason.

But this outing should relegate him to nothing but spot and blowout duty in the postseason. He just doesn’t have the mental toughness for this now.
