That’s a fricking routine play that a division 1 shortstop should make 99% of the time. Naturally, throws it in the dirt per usual.

That’s a pretty easy pick for Jones. But with him being a natural catcher he just doesn’t have much experience.
You can tell with how he tried to pick that ball. Down on a knee, chest squared to block it, two hands out to receive the ball
