Really sucks seeing Fontenot crying walking off the field. He doesn't have a damn thing to feel bad about, but I know a competitor will always feel the sting of guilt.

Hey JML, thanks for all the game threads and backup on BPB.
Falling short of Omaha is never a good feeling, but it's been a nice ride this year. Let's come back strong in February.

O well, this team just didn’t quite have what it takes to make it to Omaha this yr....BUT... i’ll Give them credit for fighting to make it a game here...it’s time to go out and find real good competitive baseball players and start the next new chapter for next yr.... hopefully the few players that aren’t cut out for SEC baseball land somewhere that’s more their competition level... good season..... next yr it’s on......

Garza should not be catching next season. I am fine with DH.

And I hope Hal Hughes is not starting.

Man our 2 strike pitches suck. Good season Tigers
Fontenot had 11 Ks in relief. I think his two strike pitches were pretty good tonight

We were 5 mph of wind from winning that game.

he was fine keeping Fontenot out there, but pitching to their best hitter in that situation was dumb as frick...

I'm willing to give Garza a pass because of the way his offense came around. We know he can hit and he showed flashes of being able to handle pitchers well and make good throws from behind the plate, but he had a rough 2 games.

I think cabrera sucking at the end of the year was a tough one to overcome these last few weeks. He literally had multiple opportunities with runners on in the 4 hole and did not come through once

Exactly.

People saying he should have pulled Fontenot are wrong.

They still couldn't hit him.. but he had no business giving their best hitter the opportunity.

Fontenot pitched his heart out... nothing but good things to say for his outing tonight

Garza has to catch that damn pitch he missed... should've been a passed ball and an unearned run... that shouldn't go against Fontenot

too many mental mistakes... esp. on the base paths... lost at least 1, if not 2 runs last night... tonight we definitely lost 1... that's the series right there

You left out where it started, hugely imbalanced roster composition.

Impressive night by Garza. I haven’t seen a player single handedly cost his team a game like that since Jarrett Lee was throwing pick sixes in 2008.

2 strikes on FSU’s best hitter, 1st base open and we leave a fastballl right out over the plate. WTF? Why did they even pitch to that guy with 1st base open?
