Thompson should have fielded it and made the out at first...
But we had him playing out of position. Our defensive positioning is all GUESSWORK.
You have to play double play depth with a runner on first and one out. If we are, that ball is right at Thompson. And not 6 steps to his left.

It’s gotten to where I think any ball hit in the infield is 50/50 for an out.

No one is more upset at JT than JT, I would imagine. He played SS all year last year and didn't have nearly as many Es. As terrible as it's been, I feel for the guy because it's at least partly the yips and a mental thing.
