I live there and we have lived through every second of this case. He's guilty and no one around here really disputes that. Its a sad situation because we all adore Kyren, know his family, and wanted to see him succeed. His suicide devastated our community. Sadly, we know Matt Ory very well too.
Now we have to listen to a bunch of idiots calling our DA and cops racist, sicking the congressional black caucus on us, doxxing the lawyers in the DAs office, all so this clown can get his 5 minutes of fame. Its disgusting.

After watching this video and having had a family member involved in something similar, all I can say is this is a sad situation for everyone involved.
The domino of events was started by the driver of the green charger speeding up a literal one way. Yet the heroes on this site really and truly think the people that had to make split second decisions because of what this driver was doing ILLEGALLY are the ones that are in the wrong.
Lacy clearly caused this entire chain of events with wreck less driving. The "woman that wasn't paying attention" was, and had probably 2-3 seconds, at best, to make a life changing determination due to someone else's negligence.
At no point in this entire video is any cop "leading" anyone on for a statement. If so, LSP would not put that on video.
I swear some of you here live in an alternate reality.

Some of y’all aren’t that bright. I defended Lacy from the get go, but that video proves me wrong.
I’ve worked thousands of accident scenes. He 100000% caused that accident. Doesn’t matter what anyone else says.

Based upon my best math based on timing of lacy's vehicle on points on the road, it is in my best determination that Lacy was driving pretty darn close to near or right above 70 mph when passing the cars and 18 wheeler in a no passing zone where a speed limit of 40 was posted.
Kyren Lacy should have been charged criminally for the accident. He did major wrong and directly caused a fatal accident.
It was also even more disgusting how close and didn't even come to a stop Lacy passed upon the scene of the accident. There was hardly any room behind the white car to squeeze through yet Kyren Lacy didn't even come to a stop, he slow rolled past the scene and continued to haul arse.

Yes. Calling out the cop and LSP for not commenting on what the cop did is speaking of some grand conspiracy.
I said it could be for many reasons including laziness. I never said that LSP was out in particular to get Lacy nor do I believe they ever were.
I think it is likely one of two things, most likely incompetence or laziness by the officer or investigators as a whole. Why was that statement used at all when the witness refused to sign it? At that point it is the officer’s version of what happened and not the witness version.
But hey, we have to trust the cops blindly and they are beyond questioning.

It may have been a bit of an overcharge but his actions likely caused a death.
Conviction is another issue, but the charge was fine at the time. It may have even been reduced or plead down.

I haven't called anyone a racist. In fact, I specifically stated, without anyone even bringing it up (because I know some people are thinking it) that I don't think race has anything to do with it. It's just lazy police work, in my opinion. At the very least, the lady is also culpable. But we didn't get shown any video until just the other day, while all this time we were just told it's his fault, and that's the end of it.
A little transparency goes a long way.
Furthermore, you say you've "lived this case", but you've had no other info than the rest of us. Living there doesn't give you special privilege to information. By the way, I have a brother who used to be a cop. I've got no bias against cops. I've known cops all my life.

No, this is how I see it happening after we get both sides. The green charger driving recklessly even though he wasn't at the exact site where the crash occured, his actions ahead of the crash caused the other drivers to take actions to avoid the green charger which caused the accident.

Also, no one should really blame the DA in this. They went off of the evidence provided to them by LSP. The blame goes to a poorly done investigation by LSP and some potentially bad actions by them.
Anyone attacking the DA is just blind and doesn’t understand the process. With that in mind, absolving cops of their responsibilities and actions because the DA ultimately makes the call on charges is pathetic.
Again, LSP should address the video with the gold truck driver and the cop taking the statement. Their failure to do so is only making things worse.

Is everyone defending Lacy retarded? NONE of this happens if not for Kyran passing cars at a high rate of speed and breaking several laws in the process. Geezus it ain’t that hard.
