They aren't going to do a new park, but you may be onto something that a major upgrade could be in the future. Having private developers handle the basketball arena certainly makes that more of a possibility.

What happened to this Mick? It's still the shame shitty under the bleachers bullpen as in the original pictures of it.

It's such a shitty job. There's places to put real bullpens if LSU put in any effort. In left you can use the open space or move one of the bleachers and create open space. In right there's plenty of open space. LSU owns that property to the north of the Box. You can push that walkway back into the athletic maintenance lot to create more space north of the Box.

There's been talk of expensive utilities relocation or something but that sounds like classic LSU CYA when they do a bad job.

It's a hopeful thought but you'd think LSU would say that. Instead it's excuses after they get called out for a shitty job. And LSU lost the benefit of the doubt a long time ago when it comes to stuff like this.

I know, let's tell Jay about your little plan and see why he wanted it the way he got it. According to you, Jay is an idiot. What does Jay know? He is only the coach of a CWS championship team and one of the leading college baseball coaches in the country. According to you, he doesn't know anything. Glad we have all of these experts on our board. Hell, we could have even saved architect fees if Scott and Jay would just read this board. Man, why didn't I think of that?

The nerve of the LSU sports department, its AD and its coaches to think they know more than the posters on this board. Fire them all and start over.

Jay has said before the he lets others handle off-the-field stuff. I don’t think he had much say in the design and execution here. His only goal was to remove the bullpens from the field and he got that. I’m sure he’s satisfied and the overall product is better than these pictures show. However, I also believe that there were better options as the Boat pointed out.

I’m also of the opinion that the Box is extremely outdated in terms of fan experience. I’m glad a few improvements have been made but there’s little that can be done without some major changes and money spent.

Yeah Jay isn’t all that concerned with fan amenities in the park. The new indoor facility stuff he wants done is getting finished before any significant stadium upgrades get done.

please tell me it's just the camera angle/lens that makes the painted home plate on the left look rather thin and enlongated.

I was given a tour of the new bullpen. The LOWEST ceiling is at least 12-13 feet tall. It does NOT feel cramped at all. The pictures do not give you an accurate feel as to how big/tall it is.

You are an idiot and obviously not a sports field architect. Go get an architect degree and come back and bitch. LSU doesn't need crazy people like you, never happy in life and always bitching at LSU
You messed up by not calling him "Miserable" like a good little cheerleader should.:

Sucks but that’s the absolute truth.

Gonna have to disagree on this one. Terrible sight lines, bleacher seats, annoying fans that constantly yelling cheers like they’re at a softball game.

None of those stadiums alllow Left Field fans like myself to park 75 feet from my seat, set up a tailgate, and us to go in and out during the game to do shots, chug a beer, eat a sammich, etc betweein innings without missing a pitch. They don't call it Homerun Village anymore but a few dozen of us still LOVE that experience.

Alex Box Rules in that regard.

Thank goodness visiting coaches would never think to send a graduate assistant over to the new right field bullpen with a telephone...
