Love or Hate Kiffin, He is Forcing Decisions to Be Made on Eligibility

He is forcing the issue on the “rules”. Fans want actual victories and not moral victories. He is doing what he feels is allowed until someone clearly says it is not and enforces it to make sure all the other teams can’t do it either.

LSU is not the only team to have players coming back for the 5th year.

Kiffin is just making sure everyone is fishing out of the same lake. No more deep sea trolling and chumming the waters.. everybody uses the same chum.

But I thought he wasn’t the only one doing this?

I think that was his plan all along. He doesn’t like the current state of college athletics either. The best way to get a bad situation fixed is to exploit the hell of it

I’m sure he isn’t but like it or not he is the top dog when it comes to media attention of college football coaches. Everyone in the media is keeping an eye on what he is doing.
Media seems to like to frame Kiffin/LSU as the problem; however, the problem is that the eligibility rules are unclear. Media wants ti frame this as some kind of moral issue or integrity issue. All the players are getting paid so the whole amateur vs pro ship has sailed. College Sports are essentially minor league teams now with extremely large followings and enormous budgets.

Lane also wants to make sure Ole Miss isn’t gonna pull any more of this bullshite going forward too. Now with the 5 for 5 and the rules by the SEC, they will be much more limited

He knows the current landscape of college football is broken and is doing everything he can to show everyone how f’d up it is. This comes from one of the coaches on staff.

“LSU is not the only team to have players coming back for the 5th year.”
Or in Ole Miss’s case, a SIXTH year with Trinidad Chambliss. The nerve of Ole Miss fans to lecture LSU about going to court and getting judges involved. Y’all literally wrote the book on it. The NCAA denied Chambliss’s sixth year, so he sued them in Mississippi state court and got an injunction from a judge who just happens to be an Ole Miss Law School graduate. But please, tell us more about LSU and Louisiana judges.

It’s good to have clear unambiguous rules.
He added value.

Not doubting you, but who are the other teams?
