Yes, LSU is a top 5 job. Name me one other program that has won a national championship with its last 3 Head Coaches? Answer: None.

Of those three:
One left for greener pastures after he built the program up to where he wanted it.
One was subsequently fired
and one is likely to be fired two seasons out from that natty.

I think a lot of fans would temper expectations with a decent product on the field.

This. You put a competitive team that can execute plays a majority of the time and some competent coaching, it would go a long way.

That isn’t currently happening. At all. It’s painful to watch.

Question I have is what does this team look like with a decent o-line. O fired Cregg right before the season which contributed to the line being in disarray.

Cregg may have helped. There’s no getting around the lack of talent though.

No excuse but Jimbo, Mullen and Dabo are all having bad years. Are their fan bases going crazy?

Aggy fans are none too happy but they just extended the man with a $90 million contract (part of the reason they are none too happy).

No clue about Dabo but I think they'll give him a pass this year.

Mullen was two points away from beating Bama and had Florida in the SECCG last year and in the CFP discussion before ShoeGate.

O went 5-5 last year and was damn lucky to get the last two wins. If he gets past 5 wins this year it will probably also be some crazy wild luck. This has been building for a while.

Put yourself in Woody's shoes. How long do you think he lets this shitshow continue?

O is going to need minimum 8 wins to keep his job. That's not crazy talk. That's reality.

The NFL is not "greener pastures". It is the *next level* and a completely different type of pasture altogether. "Greener pastures" would be like if he left LSU and directly went to a better program. Kinda like when Les left the Pokes and directly came to LSU.

Negative. But if he likes expensive whiskey and wine, probably a good dude.

No.

Two straight years of undisciplined teams has exposed what a Coach O team looks like without a once in a generation qb at the helm.

If you’re entire sales pitch to be head coach revolves around recruiting and being a CEO… you cannot hire coordinators without interviewing them and then canning them a year later. Or by having no o-line.

If it “Won’t” happen then do pay that amount to anyone. There is an expectation based on salary!

Woodward certainly doesn’t mind spending other people’s money ! Remember he was the one that gave O a 5 year contract at 6-7 million/ year. He bears part of the blame here.

I’ll trust Woodward to make the right hire.

Couple of questions:
What is the advantages of firing mid season rather than wait until after the season is over?

Does Evans have the physical tools to be an outstanding OG?

Coach O never should be a head coach. He should be LSU's defensive line coach and head of recruiting for LSU. He is the best recruiter lsu has ever had, even better than Saban when Saban was here. Recruiting Joe Burrow was his best recruit.

Who the hell expects any coach to beat Saban every other year? He's the GOAT and has that machine on cruise control.
