Derrius Guice was such a beast. Shame he's not a great guy.

Sure would be nice to have a RB with a pulse. We haven't had a good "RB" since 2019. That's completely unacceptable for a state loaded with RB talent. Even LSU's bad years they had great RBs.

I sure hope LSU can get a guy like Nate Shepard to go to the portal and snag them a Louisiana native. Another BK special he let this guy escape Louisiana somehow and look at the stud he is at Duke.

under center 50% of the snaps. reverse triple option on most plays. dive, jet sweep or pass. great play action

everyone said "Air Canada" during the offseason. Like he was going to save the years of Les Miles power I. Now we wish we could run a power I.

canada, crowton, jimbo or ensminger would be light years better than this shite we are stuck with now.

but we need a OL coach also and a healthy QB. many coordinators have coached into their 70s. wade phillips, monte kiffin, dicl lebeau, etc,

crowton is 68. he could still calls plays. All 4 above are currently not coaching,

I remember that. Iwas there in the Superdome. That play was all for show so people would stop complaining about an unimaginative offense.

We have two of the most highly recruited RB's in the country right now.

Scheme...........blocking..........I dont know.............but we have backs.

Announcer (Palmer?) said of Guice:

"NO surprise, 3 of the first 4 plays go to the best player on the field."

Those were the days. It's matching your Jimmies and Joes with the Xs and Os.

I am convinced that BK is not up to his present task as HC of LSU football, fwiw.

So name one good/great RB LSU has had since 2019? Emery looked like he could've got there if he didn't get hurt multiple times but LSU's run game in the backfield is far from LSU's standards. That's far from a "retard" statement. When JD was here there was a lot of average there as well that benefit from his legs being such a threat defenses keyed in on him.

It's a lot of average that has been there since Clyde left. You almost couldn't go a season in Miles era without having at least 1 elite RB on LSU's roster. The last elite one LSU had on the roster was in 2019. Nobody else has lived to the standard.

Price is the only one I can think of. He was a 1000 yard rusher if I remember right but he wasn't "great" most of his yards came in just a few games. He was above-average at best.

watching the qb move under center and shotgun makes me think that is what LSU has to learn how to do the next two weeks. Just some plays in gun and some under center. Play action works much better under center, and running the gun without a RB in the backfield is telling the D exactly what is coming....which is insane. This isn't flag football.

Odd to see the OL pushing the defense off the ball on running plays, at least in the first series.

Also a bit jarring to see freshman Tyler Taylor flying around on defense. Dude was playing in the first game of the season as a freshman alongside Devin White, with Patrick Queen and Jacob Phillips on the bench. What could have been. .
