Understood, but if you pull a trigger and hit someone (no matter how unintentionally) you are at a minimum getting hit with some type of assault charge. It sounds like they can’t show that Holly’s weapon fired the shots that hit this girl.

Uh, if he is the one that shot her I think we’d be looking at a different charge. Right?

I mean they removed the attempted murder charge. Even if he did pull the trigger, I don’t think you can attempt to murder someone you weren’t even shooting at

From what I understand, intent follows the bullet, not the victim. If a person intended to shoot anyone they can be charged with attempted murder and if someone dies it is a first-degree murder even if they intended to kill someone else and accidentally shot the victim.

This isn’t a DWI or a bar fight. You don’t play him until the court process plays out. Presumption of innocence doesn’t extend to playing college football.

can a lawyer or someone more familiar with how this all works explain how body cam footage is only just now being submitted?

wouldn’t that be one of the first things they look at?

Why was Kelly so adamant he’d be back this year?

There were a lot of people thinking he would eventually get off based on what was known about the case and evidence months ago. But the more recent news hasn’t sounded too good.

We just need to let the legal process play out, but no one should get their hopes up about him playing here. Definitely not anytime soon.

Why do yal want that over here? Seriously why are our fans so desperate to have cancer on the team?

Did anyone honestly expect that he would?

Until this happened no one ever said anything bad about him to my knowledge. There were no red flags and no police incidents in his past that I ever heard of and by all accounts, he was a great teammate.

As far as I can see, you are the only one calling him a cancer.

Initially, no. When Kelly started saying he might, I hoped.

It's a weird situation, I want him to be innocent but I don't want him to get away with trying to shoot someone.

So you’re too ashamed to answer. You know what, I don’t blame you.

Too ashamed to answer what? I don't think he is a cancer, I thought that was clear in what I posted. If he is innocent, I want him playing for LSU because I think he will be a great running back. If he is guilty I want him appropriately punished.

Why do you think he is a cancer? Define what a cancer on a football team is to you.

I wasn't there, and obviously know nothing about the details. But often times, the company you keep is who you end up being. Hopefully he gets his life on the right path. Football may or may not be a part of that.

Wonder what his thoughts were on Malik Nabers walking around Bourbon Street illegally carrying a concealed weapon.
