Looks like both sides walking back and maybe cooler heads prevailing...

I will say that even some kind of vote now to allow the league "to enforce its rules" at this time looks reactionary and doesn't do favors for either side. I'd like to see the two sides make a handshake agreement to stand down - I mean LSU already did with locking its roster in, and take the temperature down. Take a cue from Kennedy and Khrushchev and give each side the ability to save a little face and move on with at least detente.
LSU either leaving or worse getting expelled from SEC is a lose-lose situation and a disastrous for both sides.
And it is worse than ridiculous to try to suspend or force out our coach. Just put the guns back in the holsters.

Staying would be worse. Your wife hands you divorce papers, and then changes their mind and you're supposed to act like nothing's changed? You can't go back to the way things were.

What is this comment based on? I haven't seen much saying this.

It's more like your wife saying she'll file for divorce if you don't fix a personal pathology (drinking, abuse, etc.)
If the pathology is fixed, there is no reason for divorce.

Except this ain’t a marriage it’s a business deal

I won’t be satisfied until Sankey is removed immediately and 15 schools get new presidents in the next few years

I think a lot of LSU folks will remember Sankey, Tenn., Alabama and Ole Miss for a long time. Its ne thing to have an on-field rivalry, but to push it to the business level is a different matter.

Until the past 2 weeks, I had forgotten about my dislike of Alabama and Ole Miss.

LSU didn't go anything wrong. Your analogy is wrong. It's like your wife telling you she wants a divorce unless you can fix your attitude. frick her, and frick you. Looks like fresh young strange is back on the menu boys.

Then you were never an LSU fan to begin with.

But she’s just as crazy or even more so

We almost did

Naw. I'll fit my analogy into your requirements
It's like if your wife says that she will divorce you if you cheat on her with your work wife (almost doing something wrong). If you stop and don't do that wrong act, the marriage is fine.

I would have agreed with you before. But now I don’t see how it can possibly work without Sankey being removed. And also with there being no vote. If there IS a vote and literally any of the schools vote Yes, we have to leave. At that point you can at least take your time but we have to put it in motion. Either there is unity and everyone lets it go, along with Sankey being canned. Or we’re out.
I don’t want to be in a conference where you have a gun to your head at all times, and your second fiddle to everything. We can go independent or join the Big 10. But I definitely don’t want to stay here in this shite show. Unless there’s some massive capitulations, the well is poisoned.

That's when you look at the alternatives, which aren't good for LSU.
Is a marriage with a crazy lady who gives other extreme benefits better than a devolution in status with the alternative? Being poor, unhappy, and ultimately irrelevant?

This is how you get stuck in a relationship with a gaslighting narcissist.

LSU ALWAYS SAID it would follow conference rules. LSU has done that ... completely. LSU has sued no one. WTF is LSU "walking back"?
OTOH, the SEC is proceeding full-speed ahead. Until someone slaps the everloving shite out of them, they want to go straight to dropping nukes.

And in this scenario, the alternative is worse

Until last night, there was always a threat we would roster the 2 players.
LSU bent the knee last night and made that impossible.

All that's left for the SEC is
1. A federal suit trying to establish enforcement authority over the SEC not just LSU)
2. A vote Thursday nobody thinks will amount to anything of substance, given LSU's contrition last night.
