Yep, I'd predict PM and Bianco both to be weak fighters.

I'd put my money on Bianco against most men.

I’d love to hear the reasoning behind this. He’s a 50 year old midget.

Yep should Bianco try and lighten up? Yep but I know him, not real well but enough to tell you, that ain't his style! He is a very in your face type of coach!. On top of the fact that the it is a really tight race for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in the SEC which is huge regarding bye's in the SEC tourney, so the pressure is on! Doesn't excuse how he reacted, just explains it!

Yes.

Hess was pumping them right down the middle of the plate and guys were whiffing.

They were shaken.

Dude is an animal in relief.

Wild Thing, indeed

Smith slid into the catcher for no reason just clipped his shin guard.

Haha, no. PM isn't running his mouth to anyone if the end result may be an actual punch in the mouth.

Dude was a too-small D1 catcher for the best team in the country. He was mean as a snake then and probably hasn't changed a while lot.

Some have suggested it was because Hess was talking shite after strike outs and once the innings were over.

I would too if I could pitch like he did last night.

Poppa Bianco has a lot of things to be mad about.
1. That ridiculous play by his 1st baseman, why toss the ball to the pitcher when all he had to do was take two steps back and step on first for the force out. that led to 1 run.
2. Drew's home run. Two pitches earlier Cabrera hits a pop foul behind third base that the third baseman misplays. It would have been the 3rd out. Cabrera hits a two run dinger. Next pitch Drew hits his bomb. Hey Poppa Bianco jump on your third baseman for not catching the third out.
3. Hess, Poppa Bianco tell your guys not to strike out with the bases loaded.

That was so minor and obviously without intent to harm that I doubt if anyone took umbrage with the slide.

He had his coach’s hat on. He had to put on a public face.

Afterwards, you can bet he put the proud dad hat on and was VERY congratulatory.

Mike also wasn't very congratulatory towards his own son after the game when asked about it. I get he wants his team to win and wasn't happy about the loss but one would think he would have appeared a little happier that he was able to witness such a special moment with his son like that. Idk, seemed a little cold to me, like he was incapable of taking his coaching hat off for a few seconds to be a dad

He probably decided before the game he was going to go out of his way to not seem
partial to his son being on the other team—especially if his son did something really
well such as hit a HR. The fact that he was one of those dads who refused
to coach his own son on a collegiate level shows he was probably already paranoid
about any appearance of giving preference to his own kids when coaching them.

Both teams were very emotional tonight and yes Hess did a little trash talking. Big deal. We need the fire and Bianco just going to bat for his team.

PM let’s his guys talk shite. Always has. If mike is upset, he’s just going to have to deal with it because LSU isn’t going to change.

I said the same thing. That was the funnest LSU baseball I’ve watched in a couple years and it had everything to do with Hess. The dude gave us that energy and passion we been needing. Looking forward to seeing that the rest of the year!
