Look at where they rate the 2019 Tigers.

By any measure the 2019 LSU tigers were the best college team in history. They accomplished more than any other program. Low and behold look where these numb nuts rated that team.

Like I give a frick what these numb nuts say. I loved every second of that title run and had my boys right alongside me the whole way. I could live to 100 and never forget it. That's all that matters

They are doing their analysis based upon difference in scores against opponents. Nothing used to rate the difficulty of opponents, difficulty of schedule, number of ranked teams on the schedule, etc.
It was a lazy analysis; but with the limited data they chose to use, they can justify their claims.

The article says the 2005 usc team is better than the 2004 usc team but lost to the 2005 texas team who is ranked behind the 2004 usc team. Media

Get a grip pointman. The 2001 Miami team is ranked #1 because of the NFL success of the players. The 2019 LSU team may have similar success and their legend will only grow.

Honestly, this list is FAIR. There's an argument to be made for each of those teams in the top four. I'd always thought the best team I'd ever seen was the 1995 Nebraska team........................................until 2019. So, I can see how arguments can be made for any of those teams. Personally, I'd rank 2019 LSU as the top, followed by '95 Nebraska, and then '01 Miami.

Burrow already is the better QB than Ken Dorsey.
Edwards-Helaire is going to be a good NFL RB but you have to realize the 2001 Miami team had all of these RBs:
Clinton Portis
Willis McGahee
Frank Gore
Najeh Davenport
LSU has the edge at WR with Andre Johnson being a great WR but Chase, Jefferson and Marshall are a better trio than what 2001 Miami had.
TE edge goes to Miami. Shockey and Winslow had solid NFL careers.
DBs: Ed Reed is arguably one of the best safetys to ever play the game and is a hall of famer.
LSU had some great DBs on that 2019 team but only time will tell if any are going to be in canton.

One thing that wasn't was including 2003 USC. They didn't meet the criteria at the time, which was the top two BCS teams. They were not co-national champs.
