He said that based on the timing of the release and recycling of negative articles, there seems to be a media plot to hurt recruiting. It starts at the 12 min mark.

If there is,I'm sure the athletic department is aware. They're doing exactly what they should do about it: absolutely nothing. Ignore it and keep working hard. Acknowledging it just give it more attention. Most folks these days don't have time to worry about media drivel. So these stories tend to fall on deaf ears...until the party being blamed acknowledges it. Then it becomes a controversy. Prople love a controversy. But if you just ignore it and work, they will have little effect on you. And our athletic department is proving that.

I have no doubt Vitale deliberately tried to sabotage LSU with recruits when competing against his buddy coaches. The rest I don’t think so.
