Long article on Hailey Van Lith

Good observation.

Her defense has been phenomenal. We don’t win vs ucla without that and her great free throw shooting.

Since pistol Pete comparisons are all the rage, she has stepped up her passing game but she’s falling way short in her shooting. Would like to see that get better.

She is a catch and shoos vs dribble and shoot guard. She has to have feet set to be successful

Yeah, I said rushing her shot and forgot to put in the feet set deal as evidence of that. And before any poster here would say something like "wow, I bet Kim Mulkey hasn't thought of telling her that" (not that anyone would be that sarcastic here) , my guess is the coaching staff has mentioned that to her already. But telling a player something and having that executed in a game in fast action are two different things.

All-time best example in a basketball game which LSU eventually lost. Dale Brown calls a timeout in a TV covered huddle to set up a final shot to win/tie the game. "Jose {Vargas} do not take a shot!!" And of course what happened...for 0 reason, Jose Vargas that great shooter took the final shot and LSU lost.

It says a lot about her that she's gone from featured to support player and has a great attitude about it. She wants to be a more complete player and she wants to win. I also think her reaction during the LSU/SC fracas is a good indicator she's someone you want on your team. She was ready to throw down.

Do we want her or flaujae on Clark? Maybe both but not at the same time. I think flaujae is an elite defender and one of the best players in the country who gets little credit nationally

The rant also said kling was great and needed to stay at the top of the lineup. It goes both ways
