Guess he has to shore up his support from the other University Presidents who are not happy with his performance today

I left for a little bit but I'm back. I'm not sure who this guy is that's on the stand. They're talking about policies. When the 5 for 5 rule began and who was included in that rule. Basically whether the 22 class is included or not.

Yes he is gone. He left when they were on recess earlier.

Wow. He said in court he doesn't know individual circumstances and proved without a shadow of a doubt he does not care at all

Maybe he is going back to file lawsuits against the other several SEC schools that have signed players seeking a 5th year

He even said "players that made the move of leaving college" are ineligible

Isn't attending rookie mini camp showcasing your intent to leave college athletics?

Nope.

The BIG10 form rev share contract (which is going to be nearly identical in substance to the other conference forms) is explicitly a NIL licensing deal between the athlete and the university.

Just reading some posts from the poster in the courtroom. This started out with this being about the players and all of the noise about LSU was just the talking heads. The lawsuit was not between LSU and sec it was between the players and SEC.

However, Based on what Sankey said in court, it most definitely looks like the SEC is singling out LSU and not worried about any other teams and confirmed that by suing LSU today to get them to shut up about it.
Sankey is a scumbag but so is Texas and Georgia AD. They won’t vote to expel Sankey. Sankey is protecting them from the rules he wants to impose on LSU.

Carter and Byrne will be gone too. They’re the ones leaking this stuff and getting Sankey to go after LSU specifically. Texas AD might wanna watch his back too.

And yet posters are confused why we wont "drop" something that we didnt start?

When these players win the injunction, NCAA/SEC/LSU will be sued for not rostering them just like the player in Missouri is doing.

So the SEC is attempting to sanction LSU for complying with court orders and if we dont comply, then we get sued by the player.

Ok, so why did they not say anything in all the other cases for both football and basketball

Not sure. Doesn’t matter at all though.

All witnesses are done.

Judge is taking a recess until 6.

Will allow attorneys to say what they want to say when he comes back and I'm assuming his ruling will come after that.

And he will lose that suit at least as it relates to Missouri.

Easily and with minimal effort. These guys have ZERO cause of action against the schools for declining to accept or play them.

Seriously. Zero at all. No court order has or ever will tell a school they MUST roster or play one of these guys

The leagues that make eligibility determinations? Unlikely but maybe. But zero, ever, under any circumstances would LSU be liable for choosing not to take these guys.
