Whether he was offered Harvard or not, if the young man is smart enough to even be considered he should be eligible for a hefty academic scholarship to a top tier academic school. He stands a much greater chance of getting a degree and high dollar job vs playing professional athletics. Someone does not appear to be giving him good advice.

In the end I could see Scott ending up at Tulane.

Willie Fritz runs a PERFECT offense for him (shotgun spread option attack) and Tulane has awful, AWFUL QBs right now.

The entire staff minus the head coach has moved on from there. It may not be the same for LS.
I might be in the minority on this one. But, EMCC never really gave off the vibe that they were out smarting their opponent from a philosophy position. They get better talent than the rest of the JUCO ranks in MS. Buddy's offense reminded me of a watered down Hugh Freeze offense. Which is fitting considering Kelly & Wallace both came from EMCC.

School will be there for him after football. He's trying to make the most of his football eligibility.

His family has money. School will always be an option.

Is this viewpoint hard to see?

The funny thing is I think he's entirely too smart for Buddy Stephens & Bo Wallace.

It's not my life. But I would have easily picked Harvard or LSU in this situation. The fact is that many high profile P5 coaches aren't going to touch Scott because of his physical attributes (Height in his case).

Worked out decent for Lester Ricard.. was 3rd on the depth chart here.. went to Tulane, started and got a shot at the NFL..was on Jags practice squad for a year.

He was drafted and opted for baseball

DeAndre Johnson only had FAU & Texas State offer him. That was after a season where he threw 26 TDs & 6 INTs with a comp % of 60. Obvously the video from FSU played a role in people shying away from him. But I think Scott can put up similar type numbers in EMCC's system

Does Harvard give a full ride for athletics, if so, that would be hard to turn down.
You have kids that can't get academic scholarships.

EMCC credits are not going to transfer to Tulane, which has a notoriously bad relationship between athletics and admissions, especially with JC transfers.

He was also 6'4", a High School AA, and very heavily recruited. He was a much bigger prospect and has physical attributes Scott never has

And Ricard is an outlier. The vast majority of players across the country that transfer due to lack of playing time (not because of grades or disciplinary reasons) are very rarely heard from again.

He reminds me of DeAndre Johnson (without the baggage). Which if Johnson was able to get tin FAU. Scott can make it to P5 school.

I don't think scott is remotely as talented as Deandre Johnson.

Y'all are shitting on this guy for following his dreams of playing QB at LSU. What is wrong with chasing that dream? Sucks that it didn't work out here for him but how can you say it was the wrong move to come to his dream school and compete to play? If he's as bright as everyone says he will be just fine wherever he ends up getting his degree from. I think he's made nothing but good decisions for himself. I respect the hell out of him and am glad he came to LSU to compete. Best of luck to him.

No. You either finish your career here (Draft or Graduate) or retire due to injury, or you transfer/quit. The latter are not Tigers forever, and I hate this rhetoric.

The Ivies do not offer athletic scholarships.
One must be admitted to the school and then there are very generous scholarships. I have never seen any evidence Scott was accepted at Harvard, although apparently one of the coaches expressed interest in him.

No season 3, I have friends in MS that went there and the school didn't want it back because it made the school look bad. It's a good school, they just look the other way like many other schools to have a championship football team.

The players highlighted in the show in no way represented the average student
