I don't think scott is remotely as talented as Deandre Johnson.

Johnson had offers from Clemson, UGA, FSU, Louisville, Maryland, Miami, UNC, Ohio State, Tennessee, A&M, UCLA, and a bunch of non-P5 teams out of high school.

Scott had P5 offers from LSU, Maryland, Syracuse, and Wake Forrest. He actually had an offer from West Point as well.

Look, he seems like a great kid but his visions of grandeur playing football seem to be clouding reality for him. Everyone wasn't meant to be a P5 starting QB

I'm sure EMCC is no different than any other community college. Most of the students probably couldn't get into a 4 year college out of high school or they are saving money by going 2 years at a community college before going to a 4 year college to graduate. Generally speaking, athletes are never a good representation of the student body at any college, whether it be LSU or EMCC.

The Ivies do not offer athletic scholarships. One must be admitted to the school and then there are very generous scholarships. I have never seen any evidence Scott was accepted at Harvard, although apparently one of the coaches expressed interest in him.

It's been widely reported that he was accepted to Harvard. You need to see an acceptance letter?

He could've played ball at Harvard. If he had NFL talent the NFL would find him no matter where he played. At the very least he would've made some great connections by attending Harvard.

Good luck to him. This is probably a great move for him. He can play this year and find a school that fits him. I just wish he would have chosen Gulf Coast

Lindsey Scott Sr says his son has maintained great relationships with all the colleges that recruited him initially, and that's big.

Curious about this. Obviously if a kid you recruited goes to a situation where he's low on the depth chart, there's a possibility for transfer at some point. What kind of contact can a school have with a student enrolled somewhere else?

Sorry if a dumb question but I little little to nothing about recruiting rules or even if those same rules apply once they are enrolled somewhere.

Unless he is continuing to grow and inch a month in height, as suggested by his fan boys, Scott's future is not in pro football. While I am skeptical that Scott was ever accepted at Harvard, as these same fans suggest, he should enroll at the best college that will accept him and also allow him to get some PT. Good luck to him and I hope he gets a good education

You are what they call a hater. You don't even know this kid, but think he should temper his expectations based on what you have read about him.

It has been "widely reported" on Tiger Rant he was "offered" by Harvard. I have reason to be skeptical that he was accepted to admission by that school.
If you have proof to the contrary, please link it.

gotta think Coach O is going all in with Brennan.

Oh it's Etling and Brennan all the way, and once they feel good about Narcisse's knees, he's next up. Just a crowded situation for Scott.

Factor in McMillan who is more experienced but has a similar profile to LS and there wasn't really a clear role.

This is the classic case of a great kid who is borderline and commits to a lower school and then gets an offer at the last minute from a top 10 school.

Its hard to turn that down but its basically do you want to go to a mid tier program and compete from day 1 or go to a top 10 program and work your way up?

Its a tough call. I can see both ways

He might come back and beat LSU down the road. Who knows?

Damn that. I would've taken my arse to Harvard and played ball there. If he was good enough, the NFL would find him there as well as anywhere else.

Not really. Contrary to what is said on the Rant Scott is very far beneath Harvard standards. If my memory serves me right, Scott got about a 25 on his ACT. A 34 on the ACT is not enough to get into Harvard without serious connections. In fact, in many years Harvard turns down more than half of the perfect 36's that apply. It's obviously easier for a black guy, but I think he'd have to have at least a 30 to get in if he wasn't a football player.

This move is just so he doesn't have to sit out a year. He'll improve and move to a great school next year. No worries.

doubtful they would like it. The point is he can go anywhere after this year by participating in spring drills at an Ole Miss or Mississippi State or Kentucky.

People can laugh at this if they want to, but I think it's foolish to let another talented QB walk. This kid was astounding in high school, put up ridiculous yards and production his senior year, comes to LSU and doesn't get on the field. Lol I think it's just inexcusable, any other school would have played thid kid, but he sits on the sidelines at LSU and when he does play in practice games he's playing with second and third team players. I just don't get it! Who's next Narcisse?? A lot of y'all are already calling for Brennan as if this kid who is also extremely talented doesn't matter. He'll jet to if he doesn't get opportunity and I don't blame him.

and lot of y'all don't have a clue how good Scott can be, you haven't seen him play, yet, you are putting him down saying dumb shite like he ain't that good and wouldn't be as good as this other QB, you don't know shite.
