The talent? Very confident.
The play calling? Not at all.

Strong defense, and weak offense.

Hard to say that. More like weak offense and average defense.

ON PAPER, even coming off a loss and with their struggles on offense, LSU is a better team. That's why they opened as more than a TD favorite. Not surprisingly, SC couldn't fully replace all of the defensive talent they lost from last year. Sellers is an x factor at QB. But he's also inconsistent. I'm confident LSU's defense can have success at home. But I don't think they can completely shut down SC's offense like they did vs. Florida. LSU's offense MUST improve.

LSU's offense is averaging 16 ppg vs. P4 competition. I don't know if that is enough to get a win...even if the defense again plays well. LSU put up 36, on the road, against a much better SC defense last year. There's no reason this group, at home, shouldn't at least score 24. If they don't, coming off a bye, the concerns only get amplified.

This isn't about S. Carolina. We should win this game. My level of confidence for the rest of the season will be cemented after the Carolina game, for this reason: if your offense is having problems for the first 5 games and you have a bye week, followed by a home game, this is the perfect time to correct the problem. Kelley should have spent the entire two weeks addressing the run game and other offensive issues. In other words, if the offense looks the same for the S. Carolina game, then it will look like that for the rest of the season, and we are screwed.

And this is more than likely what we will all see-more of the same.

Curious to see what our gameplan is. We have got to make adjustments and not allow teams to outflank us based on formation and motion.

We also need to be better at maintaining pass rush lanes. I don't mind blitzing but our gap integrity was shite and needs to improve this week.

We have a stout defense and if we had a halfway decent offense, I would have no doubt we could stop USC. The problem is our offense is so atrocious that the defense ends up on the field all night and no defense can survive in the SEC under those circumstances.

It's like trying to win a drag race with just two tires. Until the offense begins carrying some of the load, our defense is left high and dry and you don't win games that way!

LSU wins but it doesn’t move the needle on the fact that this will be another wasted year just like two years ago

55/45 we can lose to anyone. Fact that they should have won last year and it is in Tiger Stadium gives LSU a slight edge

Bingo! That's what is so frustrating about this team. CBK, who I think highly of, has been here long enough that we should banging heads with the big boys every year, but that's not happening.

When you have to hope/pray the bad teams you beat can pull off an upset - like Florida did against Texas - to make you feel better about your season, that's not a sign you're heading in the right direction!

That we beat SC - 8 out of 10. That we make the playoff 3 out of 10.

Cocks have a worse running game than ours and their D ain't as good as it was last year.

The level of confidence has only grown because we didn't have to watch them play last weekend. No reason to be confident in this LSU team.

O-Line = Trash
QB = Trash
OC = Trash
Head Coach = Worse than trash

Is it possible to have a worse running game? We just played the worst rushing defense in the league and managed 59 yards! We're also averaging 100 yards less a game on offense than last year at this same time.

The biggest problem is they still have a running QB that we have yet to figure out how to even slow one down. Of course, if our defense is on the field all night, they may run us out of our own stadium. Our OL is that bad!

Yes, it is...they have a QB who can actually run and they still average less a game than we do. And they played South Carolina St.
