re: Let's Pretend For a Moment That The SEC Didn't "Tilt" The Game Last Night....

Bad calls influenced the game. They will influence any game.
Last night our momentum was lost because of a poorly timed fumble that directly resulted in 7. Momentum wasn’t gained because we couldn’t get off the field on third down. Momentum was also lost because #7 looked like the best WR in the country. Flags or waived off penalties are farther down the list of reasons why LSU lost.

The refs didn’t have shite to do with that loss. And if you truly believe it did, you don’t know anything about football

So it’s either “we won or they cheated” for you in every aspect of life? How sad.

Agreed with all your points.
Point to me where aTm had three scoring opportunities compromised with terrible calls. Show me where aTm was called for holding. Show me where LSU committed a blatant penalty, only to have the refs pick up the flag and deny it happened.
You can’t and won’t.
Again, I never claimed LSU played great or deserve anything. Just saying they deserved a fair shake. They get that, they may win. The fact that fans defend this blatant corruption, then insult the team, is laughable to me.

I can go either way on the Jenkins catch/no catch. Your example from ‘93 can be compared to the Gaffney catch for UG against Tennessee in 2006. It was called a TD and commentators thought it was pretty bad. In today’s game, you have to hold the ball.

Agreed. It was Auburn 06 all over again.

I believe the SEC is corrupt. It always has been. The sport has been corrupt for years and years. It’s not going to change. I believe Bham wants Bama to win, but I’m not sure last night was proof. They would have simply instructed refs to call a pick play on Taylor’s 2 point reception to win, forced a kick to tie, and made up some BS hold later to get Bama a win in TS.
I honestly think Bama’s ship has sailed. I assume Michigan is in regardless, Georgia too. TCU and USC are playing a win and in scenario, and if they lose, I see OSU getting in. TCU with a loss STILL may make it. Then you could possibly have 2 loss Clemson get in as a conference champ. REC has influence over the SEC, we will see if they have it over the committee.

IMO that was a hold on Emory his hands were on the outside and he was holding.
The guy had already overcommitted to the inside and Jones was just sealing him. You see that kind of block on just about every outside run.

Well of course not! I have no doubt that politicians in DC are just as pure as the Bama alums that lead our conference!
This type of either or thinking is why morons like you think everything is a conspiracy. The only choices are pure Boy Scouts or outright corruption. There’s an old saying that you shouldn’t ascribe conspiracy to things that can be explained by incompetence.
It literally makes no sense for the “league” to “tilt” things in favor of Texas A&M who had 7 loses going in. Maybe maybe if they needs the win to get bowl eligible but if LSU had won and beaten UGA there’s a strong possibility the SEC could have gotten 2 teams in the playoff. Now there’s zero chance at that. So why on earth would they “tilt” things so 1 team that’s already not bowl eligible could be in 5 games instead of 4 and in the process kill the chance of the conference having 2 playoff teams?

If the SEC was tilting games, we would've won. They had a shot at 2 teams getting into the playoffs. More $$$$ for the conference.

Correct. LSU legit couldn’t contain all night in a very similar fashion. If that’s a hold, then they did it too many times.

Lacy dropped 2 passes that killed likely TD drives. Especially the first drive of the game that could have set the momentum for the rest of the game.
So wait… a dropped pass or 2 can kill momentum for the rest of a game, but missed calls at strategic points don’t?
Did you even think about what you posted here?

If your point is that the refs sucked last night, and blew some calls, I agree. If you are saying that the refs went into the game with the explicit plan to make sure LSU lost, then you are wrong.
Especially since it torpedoed their best chance of getting 2 teams in the playoff, and didn't make Aggy bowl eligible.
Posted on 11/27/22 at 9:06 pm to EZE Tiger Fan
Only thing I want to know is WHY did they pick up the pass interference flag. That is a huge red sign.

So explain why the drive stopping PI flag which was blatantly obvious to even aTm fans was picked up.
Do you not think the refs knew that would influence the game one way or the other?
I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes, but that call was as captain obvious as the no call pi years ago with the saints - which did in fact cost them a superbowl appearance and billions of dollars.

The SEC didn't "tilt" anything......we got pushed around all night.....A&M was the better team....get over it....
Posted on 11/27/22 at 9:31 pm to EZE Tiger Fan
Why would the SEC want A&M to beat LSU?
Posted on 11/27/22 at 10:15 pm to EZE Tiger Fan
Watch the game again and see how the ball is spotted 1 to 2 yards short for us and the opposite for them. It was very obvious especially in the first half. Hell they spotted us short on a touchdown that we almost got screwed out of. With all the one handed catches and refs I can see how we lost.
