Let’s be clear. This is NOT the LSU we’re gonna see in a few months.

Frustrating…yes. Embarrassing…yes. BUT, I trust JJ and we will get better. The first 4 weeks of this season will prepare us. Don’t freaking panic like so many here have a tendency to do.

But that’s all we know how to do, freak out! The sky is always falling. We have the most miserable fan base. We probably ain’t as good as we will be later and State will not finish last in SEC as predicted. Rant over.

We might see slight improvement but this team is bad on both sides of the ball. Time to focus on the family and yard.

There were downward trends before this series in all three phases. The schedule only gets harder from here on out. The next series to me is the most important one. If you can’t take 2 of 3 against Florida at home you’re not gonna fair well against the next three after that and by that time you’re gonna be out of the race.

I agree, but our starting pitching is what it is.
Maybe move Anderson into a weekend roll if he progresses,
But we do not have the pitching were were told we do unless every baseball writer and coach in America who didn't give them a ranking was wrong about State

You would think by now the board would wait until about half way through the SEC schedule to start complaining. Its baseball, they lost a lot of production from last year, give this team time to gel before freaking out. (not you TheBaker, to the fans who are freaking out)

No pitching, no defense, no hitting, no coaching, no consistency across the board... think all that will change in a few weeks? The first 5 SEC series may not be pretty for this team, which has no leadership or togetherness. Too many transfers who want to get individual acclaim may be a problem...

Well to be fair the biggest issue so far has been that some players the staff was clearly counting on to take the next step have not. Time will tell as the season continues but there isn't a lot of time with the next few weekends. I trust Jay will figure out what works for this team but they don't have time to catch their breath with our SEC Schedule.
