Let's admit LSU DID do something wrong. We mastered the current state of CFB.

This is bounty gate all over again.
LSU has REALLY mastered the current state of college football. To excel you have to have LOTS of revenue and attention. LSU has scared the Sankey out of the rest of the SEC by showing how good we are at that.
The Clemson game was a NIGHTMARE for the rest of the league. On the field, Lane CRUSHED dinosaur Dabo. With LSU's pr savvy, we got TONS of social media attention by having Livvy, Theo Vonn, etc.
LSU is the hottest brand in CFB now...and we are only going to get better. Like with the bountygate, this is simply the wrong team ascending to the throne as far as the powers that be are concerned.
With bounty gate, the Saints lost a year of their prime by not having the best offensive mind as coach. This was despite not ONE offensive player for a Saints opponent not finishing a game against the Saints because of injury...or any evidence sufficient to punish ANY Saints defensive player.
My two cents is that we will see something similar with the SEC. They absolutely have to clip our wings somehow. My guess is that there will be some bullshite punishment meted out to Kiffin despite him not violating any SEC rules.
Hopefully, they are just negotiating a fine of some sort against Lane. If it is a suspension, I am in favor of us leaving the SEC.

The Saints didn't break any rules either. The crux of the "proof" was cryptic notes from a disgruntled employee fired by Payton. The NFL squeezed Payton and Greg Williams because they could.
Even if the Saints DID break the rules, other teams admittedly had bounty programs (Buddy Ryan, etc.). Only the Saints got the death penalty...much less ANY penalty. That's because, like LSU, they weren't national darlings.
LSU is responsible for ALL of the sand in Sankey's vagina. They humiliated him. Even though LSU wasn't party to the 19th JDC action it EXPOSED what an idiot Sankey is. His testimony is what should be plastered on Birmingham billboards.

They saw how we demolished Clemson, got very frightened, used their time machine to go back before the game to submit rule changes and file suit.

No they can try, but even their own bylaws will state that punishment has to follow some kind of infraction. Or its just whatever team 11 others wants to punish that week. And that aint gonna work. Oh and courts frown upon those tactics

Lol. OK, y'all are probably right...Bountygate wasn't the best analogy, but the larger point still stands.
As we can see, Texas or Alabama would NOT be treated in the same way that LSU has been.

It wasn't just the game result. It was the vindication of LSU's and Kiffin's approach.
There is going to be an enormous ROI on the money LSU was able to attract. Landry's visit with private equity parties really spooked the rest of the SEC.

The admission was sarcastic. The only "rule" we broke was to master "new CFB" so thoroughly and quickly.

It's absolutely nothing like this. There is no proof that Lane Kiffin or LSU reached out to these players while they were still participating in training camps, and convinced them to band together to file a lawsuit. I think someone heard one of the NFL coaches say he missed a call from Lane Kiffin and then this story shortly followed.

The Clemson game only made them more irrational and threaten expulsion, like a bunch of children. The take your ball and go home strategy.
They got called out big time yesterday for that behavior and had to backtrack. This really all started when LSU pulled Lane from Ole Miss during a playoff run and re-hired Wade. That was the catalyst, this has been brewing prior to any games being played - a lot of these folks thought Clemson had a fair shot to beat us and still had the previous vote and federal litigation filed.
Their “strategy” was to prevent LSU from any recourse if the SEC decided to enact any fines or punishments. It was a power play to circumvent all the state court rulings that the NCAA had mostly been losing and the SEC now as well. LSU was a prime target because we went all-in with coaches that other schools despise.

Right. That wouldn't have even been a rule violation if he had.
Not sure what we're arguing about. LSU didn't break any rules. We just proved to be a threat to the rest of the SEC.
The SEC can punish us for anything supported by a 2/3rds vote. They probably will do that. The question is what the punishment will be.
Whatever the case, LSU is being treated unfairly in a way that Texas or Alabama would not be.
