Today is the 10th anniversary of the worst offensive performance in championship game history. I'd truly want to know what really happened behind closed doors and the decision of not playing Lee for a series or two.

I’m still amazed ol’ Lee wasn’t given a chance. None of the three or four plays we were running with Jefferson were working. Couldn’t have been much worse than 0 points.

Miles had the better team… thought our 9 - 6 regular season win and game plan would carry our LSU Tigers to a championship win

The difference in quarterback play AND leadership killed us

I was at the game. Never healed until 2019.

That game was deleted from my memory after 11/9/19. We've exorcised those demons, I'm moving on.

Had a bunch of people over my house. I had to take a drive at halftime to fricking calm down and just get shite out my system. I knew we were toast with the gameplan.

I get the thinking but nothing about Lee's combined performances vs Bama indicate it would have been better. 1 TDs, 7 Ints. 41% completion rate. In the 9-6 game Lee was 3-7 passing for 24 yds 0 TDs and 2 Ints.

If anything, maybe try Mett and hope his release is quick enough and he is accurate enough to slow their pass rush down.

I think the coaching faults for this game lay more in the preparation than the actual game time decisions. Just my opinion.

I’ve been trying to scrub that memory for 10 years. I am not sure I’ve ever been so disgusted and frustrated at an LSU sporting event, and dealing with arrogant Gumps during and after the game only made it worse.

Someone on the team should come forward and explain all.

Oh yeah, because if there was ever a big game player at LSU, it was Mett.

In his career vs Bama he threw 1 TD and 7 picks. In the 2009 SECCG Saban and Bama held Tebow in check, we got beat by a better team, time to let it go.

Does it give people like you some kind of perverse pleasure to keep posting about this game. We know LSU played poorly and lost. But, there are so many other great moments in LSU football history. Its way past time to let it go.

Les Miles was another coaching idiot. Gave 0 thought to devising a different game plan including what to do when Jefferson did not see open receivers.

I’m almost positive Les Miles and Lee got into an argument before the game.
