Lee would have made little difference. However, after what appeared to be zero strategy change from previous game (unlike Saban who used TE and height differently to get overtop Honeybadger, as one example) and thick-headedness by HC Miles, anything different, just anything, would have been appreciated by this fan. Pick nose with left hand instead of right. Shake it twice instead of 3 times while pissing at halftime. Anything.

Someone on the team should come forward and explain all.
I’m kinda surprised that hasn’t happened yet especially with all the turmoil over Les Miles recently. No real reason to keep that bridge standing between the players and Miles.

They have, the explanation is nothing happened don’t know why that’s so hard for some of you to accept. We only got 2 FG on them in regulation in Nov that year. Bama was an all time great defense. Our 2011 offense was garbage
2 years earlier Bama shut down Florida in the SECCG with a lot of the same guys. Urban Meyer may be a despicable person but he’s a great offensive coach and Tebow one of the all time great QBs. If Saban could hold them to 13 why is it so hard to accept he shut out a garbage offense with bad QBs and a coach running an offense from 1954?

White Tiger knows what’s what. Some think “nothing” happened. Difficult to believe. On the other hand maybe Les Miles was just a fool of a coach.

If anything, maybe try Mett and hope his release is quick enough and he is accurate enough to slow their pass rush down.
My point here was he was an unknown at the time. Lee had a lot of evidence he was not the guy to come in and make a difference vs Alabama. Mett was a highly recruited QB coming out of HS and JUCO.

There were enough blowouts throughout the season for Mett to get some meaningful snaps. Then he would’ve been the best option on 1/9. But of course he got none.

I hope this is the last thread we EVER hear about that nightmare night!! Damn Les Miles for that shite show!!

Let's move on. 2019 sealed it for me.
One last thing though. Even if Lee played in the 2nd half there wouldn't have been much of a difference. Maybe LSU would have 6 or 10 points on the 2nd half. 2 reasons why the L was inevitable:
-Bama D was too much through out the game, they came prepared and ready to play
-Les had no fkn' gameplan, let alone focus on that game, totally out coached by a guy who really meant business

Lee was academically ineligible and Miles kept it quiet. This is the only explanation.

There needs to be some kind of specific memorial for this game somewhere around the football ops building just as a reminder to say “never again “. Maybe a statue of JJ shovel passing the crystal football directly to the Bama defender.

Nothing happened that day! I have no memory of that day. The doctor said it's traumatic amnesia.
