We get it. You don’t like BK.

No ny6 bowl wins in his career. Win something then we can talk

Les inherited a Corvette and Kelly inherited a Pinto

I don’t think BK will ever win a natty here. I’d love for him to but I don’t see it.

BK actually beat Bama in Tiger Stadium.
Is this just going to be his claim to fame forever?

Agreed.

The amount of talent that Les Miles wasted because of his refusal to not leave 1990s football is appalling
But at least we had talent. The main problem with Miles was he was compaired to peak Saban.

Him blowing the title in 11 directly allowed Saban to step in and take control of college football.
Ironically, this was probably the best coaching season. People forget we lost our OC like 3-weeks before the season started.
He didn’t ’blow anything’. There was nothing that would have changed the results in the NCG against Alabama—NOT EVEN Jarrett Lee!!

Les pre 1/9/12 was leagues better than Kelly. Post 1/9/12 Les, BK is probably slightly better.

I guess you forgot the part where Miles inherited National Championship caliber talent from Saban and was able to ride that for some years before it all started going downhill. Whereas BK inherited an absolute shite show/dumper fire of epic proportions from Ed O and is having to completely rebuild this program back from the ground up.
You can have Les Miles because there is no way that buffoon would have any idea how to completely rebuild a program from practically nothing.

Les vs BK
CBK has bounced the roster back since taking over. However CBK's out of conference losses & season openers are hard to swallow.
Les Miles had great success in OOC games & openers. LSU was respected nationally.
Les Miles' record against non-SEC teams at LSU was 41-2
Brian Kelly's record against non-SEC teams while at LSU 10-2
CBK has to win OOC games @ minimal to be taken seriously. Providing he can't beat Clemson in the opener indicates he's "probably" the stop gap coach LSU needed at the time of his hire. Regardless CBK isn't going anywhere soon.
I think he can get a NC at LSU

Miles took over a much better situation ....that can't be ignored.
BK took longer than he should have to get the lay of the land here, that's on him. I think he's finally figured it out and this years team will have the most talent of any team he's had since he's been here....let's see how he does.
Les had as much or more talent than any team he played his first 3 years. BK not even close - and he absolutely has some responsibility in that.
Les went 8-5 his 4th year. Let's see what BK does and talk again at the end of the year.

What has BK ever won of any significance? He’s never won a fricking NY6 bowl and he’s in his 60’s…. In this argument / comparison hardware matters and until bk gets some it’s not even a debate
He did beat both Les and O in bowl games and he played in a title game before the four team format and made a playoff when it was only a four team......

Les followed Saban and inherited a championship program with a culture of excellence. He was able to ride that wave for several years but eventually slid into mediocrity.
BK inherited a program in disarray after O's excesses. He had to rebuild the culture and has done a creditable job winning while rebuilding the culture.
BK hands down over Les.

i was one of the biggest miles supporters for a very long time. looking back, i think part of it was the fact he maintained what was built, while saban came back, so i wanted him to beat bama\saban when bama landed him. and at the beginning he did well when he and nick were both running old style O's.
nick changed. les didn't. it became harder and harder to believe anything les was saying.
all that to say, i am a supporter of BK because he's come in and did a solid job of piecing LSU football and the roster and the staff together. he's taken some lumps on the field and in coaching hires, but he quickly addresses it.
its hard to compare a 10-11 year career, where a machine was inherited, to a 4 year blip at the beginning of a career here, for someone who's had to reestablish the LSU brand and roster.
if BK stays his entire contract and never wins a ship, then we can make the assessment then. whether he wins one or not, i think the next coach will inherit a much better program than BK walked in to. and i think he'll get to a ship eventually, if not a couple. he adjusted his HS recruiting and portal focus, and now he's not only building the roster where there's needs, we are getting depth, so i think he's still on the rise.

Les all day long. CBK is on his way out if LSU shits the bed this year. @Clemson will set the tone for the year. He needs this win to save his arse. I personally do not care for CBK. Les was a better coach.

Miles wasted a lot of talent but the one thing you couldn't say about a Miles team that they were soft. Since BK arrival he consistently ran a soft team out the tunnel every Saturday.
