Point was if you need to scrimmage is it really necessary to scrimmage with your best player that you already know what the frick he can do 10 days before the season kicks off...

LF7 did not participate in the scrimmage on August 20.

It's like arguing with someone on Facebook who doesn't comprehend the game of football. It's a waste of time.

SEVERAL WEEKS BEFORE THE SEASON...nope

Happened on August 16th, which would be 18 days before the Wisconsin game. Dude was never right after that.

LF7 injured in scrimmage

quote:

The Tigers got a scare Tuesday when Fournette suffered an ankle injury in a scrimmage. Thankfully, it doesn't seem to be the worst possible outcome. "Leonard Fournette got a slight sprain. He’s in a boot," LSU coach Les Miles said after practice. "Some of the healing going. It's not terrible. In his words ... He'll be fine."

Miles gave him the carries any other coach in the nation would have. If you have an elite back like LF, you give him carries.

Except maybe a short guy 2 states over.

Saban ran Henry 395 times last year and he average 40 carries the final 3 games.

He did not participate in the full pads, full scrimmage almost a week later.

It happened in a practice. You cannot blame Les Miles on the injury man. No matter how much you want to. Blame the lack of creativity on him but you can never blame a coach on an injury unless the coach over plays him, which Miles never did.

Steve, question can you read?

The article states injured in a SCRIMMAGE. This connotates live tackling in game like scenarios wheereim your star RB was taking live hits and leaving open the possibility that he could be inured going into what was supposed to be a speacial seaso for said RB and the team. It was not necessary at that point to have 7 out there at that point based on the position he plays and his importance to the team goals.

If Les's overkill with scrimmaging or practicing in full pads was not an issue than the new coach would not have changed that practice less than 48 hours after Miles was fired.

It was obvious to O that Miles's practice tendencies was detrimental to the team. Otherwise he would not have changed that.

Thats what I am saying

The guy made the point that no one else woudl have given LF7 the carries and he owes Miles so much.

Not true. Miles owes Fournette more

OK. You're right. Les caused Leonard's injury. His WAY OVER THE TOP practices and hard core live hitting football drills/scrimmages were too much for LF7.

Anyone who doesn't think Les Miles is directly to blame for breaking Fournette is a dipshit.
