Jimbo Fisher was never coming to LSU.

You know how I know he was coming? When he said he didn't talk to LSU.

FSU is an easier job, and far easier to win 10 there than at LSU.

Without a doubt, but coaching in the SEC seems to be the pinnacle as far as coaching college football goes. After his long-time wife allegedly cheated on him with a former UF player, I'm sure a possible change of scenery was not the worst thing in his mind.

Well stated apex!
Last year it got to where I couldn't stand watching the WINS! The 3 losses esp. How they lost were a fricken kick in the nuts. Unfortunately for me, it still lingers and I can't get excited this year, and I've been watching since 1958!
If we reverse November, I'll believe

Dude you got played. You, not unlike a lot of LSU fans, have this obsession with deep dark conspiracies. Your "friend" is toying with you.

Now back to this real estate deal.

If they didn't have a big name like Jimbo interested and just decided to handle that embarrassing shitshow like that for no particular reason, then they are way worse than what people think of them now (and what people think of the administration now is about as low as it gets).

On the subject of the administration, I agree with you. It is a 3rd rate comedy act. Any members of BOS that voted to hire them need to be banned from any association with LSU and any members that were appointed after the hires need to be removed for allowing this farce to continue.

At some point in the future I think we'll know more....if Miles wins two National Championship and retires his "supporters" will step up to take credit...and if he posts 9-3, 8-4 and 9-3 those who wanted to get rid of him will say I told you so.

This isn't exactly grassy knoll and second shooter stuff, but with all the smoke I think there is some Creedence to the notions that 1- Les Miles job was in jeopardy and 2- there was some level of communication with either Jimbo Fisher or his memos at and for whatever reason interest in the LSU job was conveyed

It was reported by the Miami Herald that proceedings sped up when Fisher's attorney filed an intention to depose Tyler Jacobs (the former UF player) as a witness. Quickly after that, the divorce was finalized. I had read that rumor a few times a long time ago on a message board and thought it was BS. But it appears there was truth to it. The guy was her personal trainer.

But the Miles haters are the true fans and are the sole possessors of the truth?

You then used always a straight shooter to describe your corporate lawyer. I've dealt with many. That term can't be used with any validity.

We've had three general counsels, and every one was a straight shooter.

Far fetched? YA THINK.
This is just another variation of the horse shite ravings of the Miles haters that we have heard since last year.

His "friend" is as he stated it, a corporate lawyer. He should be cut some slack. It's hard to distinguish truth from fiction in his own head after years of practice.

It would be nice to have the president, the athletic director and the head coach all on the same page. Maybe one day that will happen at LSU.
