Leonard Fournett's Achilles heel

The greater the hype and importance a game is to him the more he runs to contact instead of avoiding it. He wants to prove he can punish. He is a victim of his own hype. It's nice to see when playing lesser opponents but against a team like Alabama its a huge problem. Guice is good no matter the opponent or the hype. Guice will be a better back in the pro's because of this. Fournette won't last long with all the contact he forces on himself.
He only gained 35 total yards against Alabama. for goodness sake!! A great back would have totaled at least 100 or close to it just on principal alone and with the same offensive line.

Is this an injury report or just shifty football analysis

No blocking is his achilles heel.

The offensive line may be deficient, but a Heisman caliber back should have gained at least 100 yards anyway.
I'm telling ya'll he is not so special. I don't know Guice or have any ulterior motive in promoting his play over Fournett's but if you can't see the difference between a great back and just a bruiser in just those two carries Guice had then you are blind and blinded by the hype, too.

Agreed , most run plays are designed to go to a gap , if there is a player in that gap , there are no holes , you can blame vision but there hast to be a hole to see to see it ,sure there is the occasional opening but having the time to get there against BAMA when your O-lineman are facing the QB on run plays , that's bad .

Meet me in the parking lot at Dwyer's downtown to further "discuss".

Fournette's jumping spin move discredits your entire post, IMO.

You mean 11 NFL caliber players?
Posted on 11/6/16 at 3:25 pm to dguidry
That he can't block for himself?

Leonard is not worried about anything but an ZNFL contract.

I really wish LSU fans would embrace one of the greatest ambassadors that Louisian has instead of hating on him. Who cares who is better out of him or Guice? They both are sensational and great players and great people.

The only way LSU will ever beat Bama is if they start building by offense of line 1st like the cowboys are doing. not sure what their recruiting pitches have been but it's not been working lately. Bama basically is an NFL defense these days

I like LF7 but Guice getting 2-3 carries in some games is getting ridiculous.
