You do realize that LSU that if LSU were to play Nichols again with the same ABs that we had last night we could legit possibly win 10 or 12 to 6.

simply "scraping by." The last Ole Miss game was a win, but it was a win where LSU lucked out and scraped out a weak one-run win.
It was a fricking sweep. What the frick are you talking about?

People seem to have forgotten we run-ruled Nicholls earlier this month with our starters and we started Hurd.

Bad take.
I thought it was a great showing. They played a scrappy team with a winning record. They were out hit, had more errors, had less amazing plays in the field, rested a few starters, pitched for experience… and were literally 3 inches away from victory. Awesome to have bottom 9th rally experience either way.

Boy are you going to be surprised when you find out who won the CWS last year and how they did it.

First time watch baseball for an entire season?

A win is a win. They are hard to come by. Win by 1 run or 10. Good competition is hard to beat 10-1 every time.

This may be the worst post I’ve ever seen. Name a team that didn’t scrape by on the way to a championship. In history of baseball I can assure you it never happened.

Scraping by is exactly how you win in Omaha. So many things have to go your way to make it through the post season and the scrappier teams are usually the ones who do it. Regular season is one big round of practice for when things actually matter. We need to have comebacks, wins by pitching, wins by hitting, wins by defense, wins when we are off and all sorts of scenarios to be prepared.
Post more. That was very well said.

In 1997 Bama beat LSU something like 27-2. Tigers won the Natty.
Against Bama, BTW.

the 2009 team lost games to Tulane, USL, and Nicholls.
they also lost 2 of 3 to a really shitty Tennessee team.
remind me again how that season ended.

True, but "scrappier" is different than "scrapier."
This team needs to quit "scraping by" in some of the games.
As my h.s. coach would say "Losers scrape by, winners win big."

It's refreshing to see you are a well rounded idiot. You usually just share your stupidity with it about basketball.

Totally agree with you hall…It’s 2 midweek games and the chicken littles are coming out.
(Not directed at you)
Look at the other top 25 and I swear someone on there has lost a midweek game
Go get 3 wins and it’s a 3-1 week. Aka #1. They don’t punish you for the cupcake games.

Troll or poor take. They gain as much or more by " learning " to win not by their Supreme athleticism in these scrappy games but by doing whatever it takes and depending upon each other. So a W in a midweek chemistry coaches class is at least as valuable as a 7 inning R/R. same for the L's it builds character that they as a team will learn from. Each game means something to the young men and I believe they will be well served come tournament time having been through some tough times. Those are the times that define a team down the road. My two cents.

My very knowledgeable h.s. baseball coach (Class B, but he was only there because he liked the country life) always told us that we needed to play somewhere else if we were satisfied with victories where we just scraped by.
Hate to say this, but your coach is a moron.
