Take Rice. LSU will rest everyone for next week.

I very much live in the future and not the present, so for me, I see what the future holds with Ensminger based on the past. Right now I'm in the, whatever it takes to get a new offensive coordinator, mindset.
I'll phrase it a different way.
Would you trade a good finish to this season and offensive futility for the next 2-5 seasons, ala final years of Les Miles OR would you suck up a couple bad losses or incredibly underwhelming offensive performances to finish the year if it meant we could get a competent offensive coordinator for the long term that could get LSU into the top 20 offensively?
This is the most miserable way to live or follow sports. You're never happy even when things go your teams way because you think the future is going to go poorly. You don't know that. Live in the present. We follow sports for entertainment, do we not?
What's the point of going to see a movie that was good, but you don't enjoy it because the sequel MIGHT not be as good?

You’ll get downvoted to oblivion, but this is spot on. These dumbasses on here have ZERO vision and strategic thinking abilities. It is truly losing a battle to win the war.
They live in the now and fricking don’t see what is the root of all of this - ALLEVA, King and the BOS.

I thought Bama's spread is larger this weekend
Most books don't even have a spread on the Bama game. The reason is bc Bama can pick whatever spread they want against The Citadel. If someone told Saban to win by 19 points he could do it. If they told him to win by 67 points he could do it. Bama's opponent has no say in what the final outcome of the game will be.

This type of thinking leads to a miserable life. Always waiting for the other shoe to drop. Can't even enjoy a fun season because of what MAY happen next year. I truly don't understand why people even follow sports when they feel that way.

I know what your saying.
I swear it's always one or two people that come in and screw up every thread I start.
Im sure we all have this happen to us... I think we all know who that was on this thread.

Cant run a screen, cant run a draw play, running for less than 1 yard per play, offensive line cant block and run a slow developing play action play on your five yard line and only by the grace of God don't get a safely--this is an anemic offense that is offensive.

The main reason I started the thread was, to see what everyone thought the number of yards needed was to keep ensminger from being canned on Monday.exagerating on the Monday firing, but you know what I mean.
Also, was pointing out how its Propably impossible to root for a bad offensive output during the game, regardless of how bad most of us want a new coordinator.
Maybe it's not hard for some of us to do that. I know I can't do it. Don't make me better or worse then anyone though.. I just think its something that some think they would be able to do,but not as easy as they thought in the end

There was no excuse for a poor performance last week. North Texas and Vandy dropped 40 on Arkansas. We struggle to get to 20.

It probably won't have much impact either way. That's what I'm saying though, what would it take for it to be impossible to overlook?.
The more I think about it though, I'm not so sure that it won't have an impact.
I'm sure someone can get the info, but I'm thinking back over this season and past NCAA and NFL seasons. Coordinators do get fired , in-season,after horrible performances, all the time.
So you would think one game won't matter, but just this season, oklahomas d coordinator was fired. Not sure when exactly, but it was after a bad performance. Same thing happened at the university of Minnesota after the Illinois game.
It happens every year in the NFL . coordinators get fired after a pattern of bad play ends with a historically bad performance.
That historically bad performance against Rice would have to be less then 300 yards of offense for the trigger to be pulled in season.
The much more likely scenario is that the game against Rice, with less then 300 yards of offense, would be the final straw. the performance would seal his fate and he would not return next year. This wouldn't be announced till the end of the season.
