This game against Rice isn't your normal cupcake apponent game.
This team is a one win team that is a 43 point underdog with some of the worst displays of football I've seen.

Anyway, what im getting at is this, there are no excuse S for a bad performance offensively.A team with the talent we have should put up 500 yards of offense,no problem. d is terrible.

Does everyone agree with that number, 500 yards?

I realize most of us want a new o coordinator.a sub par performance against Rice would be a big step towards that happening. I will say, I want a new coordinator, but I don't feel rite hoping for a 350 yard of offense game. It's just not rite and I don't think most of us are capable of that emotion, wether we try to create it or not.

Hopefully we lose 3-0 so we keep aranda and the rest of the staff gets let go. We already lost to Troy, people dont really know the difference between Rice and Troy after a certain point. Cant become anymore of a laughing stock after that loss to Troy anyways.

I very much live in the future and not the present, so for me, I see what the future holds with Ensminger based on the past. Right now I'm in the, whatever it takes to get a new offensive coordinator, mindset.

I'll phrase it a different way.

Would you trade a good finish to this season and offensive futility for the next 2-5 seasons, ala final years of Les Miles OR would you suck up a couple bad losses or incredibly underwhelming offensive performances to finish the year if it meant we could get a competent offensive coordinator for the long term that could get LSU into the top 20 offensively?

InB4, MUH false dilemma. What about Ensmingers track record so far would make you think that there are any other outcomes available? Does anybody here really believe that all of a sudden Ensminger is going to do a 180 and turn LSU into an offensive Powerhouse?

You can count on LSU not covering in games like this. O will take the brakes off early and LSU will coast to probably a 30ish point win.

I don’t think it matters how this season ends. CEO will do what he needs to do to keep his job. He’s proven that for the most part with recruiting and coaching hires (not including E). If he realizes that E isn’t the answer, which I think he does by now, I can see him asking E to step down after the season by either retiring or moving back to TE coach. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s already searching for a replacement and the remaining games won’t sway him one way or another. He knows Miles was fired for repetitive seasons like this and will make a change sooner rather than later imo.

I sure in the hell hope so. But man, I've had my hopes dashed so many times by LSU football the past 11 years. So forgive me if hope doesn't spring eternal.

Every LSU fan has had every reason to be skeptical and with the consistency to which they've been disappointed, even cynical.

Pretty nuts, not confident we can score 42 on anyone, not to mention these little schools always end up scoring 7-13 points in these things

I understand, it is a bigger spread, if you can find someone to take it. I didn't know the spread because the paper I read didn't have it and that's because alot of the time they don't give spreads for games against Fcs teams.... I'm sure there is a spread somewhere... There isn't a universal spread..different sports books release different spreads and then they are adjusted throughout the week based on how much money comes in on what Team

Not even Ole Miss?

Idiot.

This thread is so full of fricking stupidity, it's comical.

"We already lost to Troy" No, we didn't, LSU didn't play Troy this season.

"Miles got fired for seasons like this" No, he didn't, apart from 2011, Miles' best record was 11-2 at LSU. This team still has a good chance to get to 11-2, probably earning O an extension.
