He craves attention and he is all over Twitter interjecting himself. It also appears that he wants the Bama job as he has kissed Saban’s arse the last 2 years.

If I am a head coach I don't touch this conversation. Just walk away. Nothing good can come from opening your mouth about paying players.

Saban whining about any sort of competitive advantage or paying players is the biggest fricking laughing joke of hypocrisy ever.

He’d be an idiot to not want the Bama job.

It’s the ultimate CFB HC job.

I’d argue that I’d rather be the guy after the guy who succeeds the devil Satan….

Kiffin is a clown. He's probably upset the news doesn't involve him so he has to insert himself

Does he really want to be a part of this fight? He’s one of the ex coaches that Fisher was going on about today. He should keep out of it but we know he won’t do that

He's a troll, and he can be a pretty good one. He knows he has absolutely no chance of competing with NIL at Ole Miss. So he is doing exactly what we are doing right now, just sitting back, laughing, and hoping both schools burn each other to the ground.

No, he wants to be the cheerleader for it, just like we all do.

There’s a ton of money at Ole Miss.

Is it?

Or is it just that their success is a result of Saban more than the program. Hell, I'd argue LSU may be a better "program" given that two separate HC's won national championships at LSU AFTER Saban left. Two guys who weren't exactly thought of as top tier HC's before and after they arrived/left LSU. Alabama was a juggernaut under Bear Bryant. The program then won only one NC over the next 30 years with six different coaches before Saban arrived.

Then you look at programs like Ohio St and LSU where the coaches change...yet the winning at a high level continues.

Great job? No question. The "ultimate job"? I'm not quite there yet

No it’s not

Here is what Bama is or was

They were a program in distress and desperate for the glory days so they threw a ton of money at Saban and agreed to do things “his way” which means a complete overhaul and hiring dozens of assistants as well as method of recruiting that keeps Saban clean but requires money to be paid to players above and beyond what they had been doing.

It worked.

Now though it’s for players to get paid through NIL which neuters Saban to some degree because Tuscaloosa alabama cannot compete with the big boys when it comes to big money. Not even close. Alabama has maybe 1 billionaire and he’s not a Tide fan from what I know. Alabama is a small state with 2 big college programs too.
Texas has dozens of billionaires and a lot of other hundred millionaires…. Many came out of tamu. They can now pool their resources.

That makes Bama a relatively small program and reality is setting in.

Saban was sitting in a room of some of the top CEO’s in the state. He was trying to motivate them to buck up. Even if they do, it won’t be as much as tamu. Maybe not as much as LsU…

Yep. Alabama's success is due to Saban. He is the program.

Kiffin was pointing the finger at ATM before Saban was. Just a tiny bit more subtly.

I don’t think Bama would hire Kiffin. Regardless, the day Saban leaves they will melt and it will be hilarious to watch them during the coaching search. If you think our coaching board is wild theirs will be out of control.

You obviously don’t know what’s available within the Alabama fan base.

The family wealth just in Bear Bryant’s family is over $1B.

It is not a question of available money for Alabama going forward, they will be able to pay whatever anyone else pays.
