See what I mean?
We all know what the problem is but you’re not even allowed to discuss it. We all just have to watch it burn to the ground. God forbid we “notice” something.

I had a similar interaction with some USCe fans. They said they made the trip the last time that Carolina played at LSU and asked what happened since. They said they don't recall it being like this when they were here before.
One of my friends/coworkers has a daughter who went to LSU for 1 year and just couldn't stand it. She is black but attended a large, very suburban CFISD high school, was raised right, and has a diverse group of friends. Baton Rouge and LSU was too much kulture for her and she is black! She transferred to U of H and loves it! It's less hood than LSU.

I've been in my current tailgate spot for 15 years.

Other seemingly inconsequential decisions that hastened the decline-
Closing of the Indian mounds- kids used to envelope it on game day as their play area. Kids mean families. Closed it and families left the area.
Charging to park overnight - the cost led to the rise of mega tailgates. Pooling resources to defray costs. This led to the decline of the smaller family oriented tailgates.
Forcing Greeks from their houses to the parade grounds- rather than college kids hanging out with other college kids in smaller groups on the edge of campus at their frat and sorority houses, we moved them all next to one another in one big drunken blur in the heart of campus. This also makes it easier for non students to join in. The largest green space on campus transforms from family tailgates with kids playing football to what it is now.
None seems like a big deal but all created a family void. That void got filled by something else.

I live five minutes from campus… LSU is overwhelmingly predominantly White… I don’t think nobody who actually lives in Baton Rouge considers it a bad part of town

You talking about now or the 80's? I went to LSU in the mid to upper 80's. It is not close to being the same.

The area around the real UH is much more hood than the surroundings of LSU.

What do you expect them to do?

LSU would rather harass frat row with MIPs than make the atmosphere safer

There’s enough security/police there. They’re just too worried about giving out MIPs to 20 year olds trying to drink a beer rather than preventing something like this from happening.

Stop, frisk and arrest for weed or guns will definitely prevent this element from coming on campus
I actually thought the current model of thinking was to expand gun rights and open carry laws. Are you making a case for gun free zones?

No. Simply enforcing existing laws on the books. IE, felons carrying guns, open use of illicit drugs in public, selling drugs, aggravated assault, attempted murder

And a lot of those people thinking about giving up their season tickets will also think twice before the contribute a dime.

Dude we’ve heard on here for years why people leave early. Don’t think I’ve ever read “I’m scared of being shot” as an excuse. Quit trying to make it one

Landry is a UL guy….. he’s not going to care much

And so what’s the problem with stating the truth?!
Look at the number of said crimes and how many are done by said race? Get over it, it’s fact.
