Have you listened to the Mainstream Media or the Democrat party for the last 20 years? Race is all they fricking care about. The content of one’s character means fricking nothing to them.

I'm 35, grew up in Baton Rouge, and was at LSU every weekend with either friends, family, or both. My parents never worried about me because there was no need. It looked completely different 20 years ago.
I live around Shreveport now, and it's been a while since I've been to a game...my 6-year-old son has taken a huge interest in LSU and has been wanting to go to a game badly, so I took him this weekend.
Like everyone here is saying...it's racist to talk about the problem...Everywhere you went...the weed smell was overpowering...I felt like I was the minority walking around...Teens dressed as gang members walk around everywhere, and the girls they are with are competing on who can wear the least amount of clothes. The biggest problem is that these wanna be thugs feel the need to be armed at all times in case they need to "handle" business. I can promise you that over 50% of them have a handgun on them...
So we are at a friend's tailgate right next to the stadium, next to the ROTC building, talking to a couple from SC and I hear what sounds like a firework...I look up to see 3 dreadlocked thugs running and a handgun bouncing on the pavement. I immediately run to my kid and his friend, who were throwing a football, and grab them and get them to safety...turns out this idiot accidentally shot the gun and himself...which goes back to what I was saying...most of them are armed and have no idea how to properly handle a gun. This accidental shooting of himself could have easily hurt or killed someone else...it could have been my kid...thank God it was just his dumb arse. It was also the couple from SC first time in BR...and probably their last.
A few more things here...Why did his friends all take off running? Because they were likely to have warrants...Why does the problem look a certain way? Because most of these kids grow up without a daddy, and instead of addressing the issue head-on, we tiptoe around it because it's racist to point out facts these days.
I'll end here...my son was in the car this morning telling our neighbor about the game...first thing he tells him is about the gun and how someone shot themselves... that's his LSU gameday story and that's sad as frick.
I want to bring him back, but I have serious reservations about it, and it looks like I'm not the only one...Gameday has changed drastically for the worse, and if something is not done quickly...we won't ever get it back.

Which ones fired guns on campus?

Only for medical use. They can still restrict it from campus like guns.

And not legal to smoke in public places. Maybe not technically legal to use edibles in public spaces either, but that’s a harder thing to enforce. But they absolutely can and should crack down on public MJ smoking. The powers that be need to make people who aren’t on campus to tailgate peacefully with everyone else uncomfortable enough to go elsewhere. They need to feel they aren’t welcome. It doesn’t matter the age, race, ethnicity, or anything else that will be called discrimination. If you are creating a hostile environment for people on campus then you need to go.

Just got this in my email:
"Dear LSU Family,
The safety and well-being of the LSU community is our number-one priority. At all times, we seek to ensure students, faculty, staff, fans, and visitors have a safe and positive experience when on our campus.
In light of recent events, we write to assure you that we maintain significant resources to ensure public safety. On game day, we typically have 600 trained on-duty police officers representing LSU Police, local law enforcement, and state agencies to safeguard our community. We take full advantage of advanced technologies, including license plate readers, camera networks, and upgraded lighting, which allows for real-time, campus-wide monitoring and rapid response. Our law enforcement presence is fully coordinated. If individuals commit crime on our campus, they will be arrested, and we will work diligently to ensure conviction.
In the coming days, we will continue to review our resources and protocols to maximize the safety of the daily campus experience. As a community, we must also look out for one another. If you see something that doesn’t look right, say something. By standing together and staying alert, we make LSU safer for everyone.
As we enhance our public safety protocols, we will communicate these changes to our constituents, ensuring our full commitment to protect everyone who comes to our campus.
Sincerely,
Scott Ballard, Chair
LSU Board of Supervisors
Matt Lee
LSU Interim President"
Hopefully they welcome the addition support and/or efforts.

600 officers and I would bet half are for parking/traffic. We need officers specifically for patrolling. Whatever that number is for ~200,000 people it’s not enough.

Whatever works my man, some segments of society are inherent criminals based on years of FBI crime stats

I usually do the openers every season at neutral sites now a days but my last home game at LSU was against Tennessee a few years back and even then it looked night and day from just 2015-2016. Absolutely insane what has happened to game days and the school as a whole.

they can go to the Omega chapters instagram and pretty easily figure out that they were set up on south stadium
if any other fraternity had gun shots at their tailgate they would get the boot so fast.

The same people that cry racism do nothing to stop this trashy and criminal behavior. What conclusion would any common sensed person make after seeing the video. It is not racism, it is real knowledge based on real events.

I agree - I think having the LSP or even adjacent parish PD's (wanting overtime) coming would help. This is similar to Mardi Gras. To your point, having these individuals patrol with LSU PD (one LSU PD per team?), while BRPD focuses on traffic or exterior campus issues.

Edward's is a hack. He is in way over his head. Others are running that office
