I say the boy should return punts and kickoffs. Sign him up. Put him at gunner also on punts.

He’s that fast. He consistently clocks one of the higher speeds on their gps thingy

I was wondering how he was doing since he was injured last year when he came in from what I heard. When I saw his high school footage, I was impressed with how fast he was on returns and as a WR. And he seemed to have no fear going over the middle and catching the ball. Excellent hands.

I believe he was the first guy Kelly offered when he got here. The kid said his weekends used to be ruined when LSU would lose. Those are the types you want suiting up for your team.

eh, slow as hell is being dramatic.

He ran a 4.65 at his pro day. He was, and forever will be, slow as hell. Elite fast twitch athlete, but just not fast.

I also remember that play, it was an all out blitz with no safety help over the top, and the one player who could have made the play caught up to him after getting badly beat but missed the tackle due to Wes being incredibly hard to tackle.

Go to YouTube and look him up. Watch films on him since he was 5. Then search search Landon Ibieta 400 meter. He was 8 years old at the time. When he crosses the finish line you can count 15 secs when the film cuts off, and no one else had crossed the finish line to that point. He runs a 4.3 in the 40.MVP in 7on7 in Miami, and MVP and fastest 40 yard time at the ABX Battle of the South. He's Legit!

I just want to know if he brings his lunch to work and if he's a real student of the game.

He made Denver Harris and Yaites look pretty awful on that play.

Reviewing the play

Looks like Denver Harris (in zone coverage?) falls down as ibieta makes the catch

His nearest pursuer is #43 Matthew Jayne a 5’8” 193 walk on LB. He easily out runs him

The speed wasn’t that explosive but the cut back to erase 21 Yaites out of the play is what made the run.

By the end of the run 27 Welch is running him down from the left, and it looks like 19 Jordan Allen is coming from the right sideline.

The cut was awesome. I really enjoyed watching the highlights of the spring game. So many players stood out and I am excited for this season.
