"Land of the free and Home of the..... TIGERS"

When did substituting the word brave with Tigers at LSU games become a thing. Never really gave it much thought growing up in BR, but kinda of curious if its an unique tradition or its common to replace "brave" with school mascot. Don't remember ever hearing something like that at any other SEC football game.

Its not unique, a lot of schools do this. When I was in HS at Ponchatoula High in the mid 80's we did the same thing. "Land of the free and home of the Wave"

This happens at literally every major sporting event. Don't know that I've ever been to a pro or college game of any sport where this doesn't happen. And I travel a lot.

But to answer your question, it's pretty common and I'm not sure I've heard a high school student section NOT say their mascot. It gets old fast

No kidding. This is just dumb. I'm pretty sure I've never heard it anywhere before. And when did it start at LSU? We didn't do that stupid shite in the late 80's.
