No, there isn’t more to it. It was his decision

Maybe that indicates development by Davis and Emery ?

sorry guys, there is more to it than that....he has already been through the grind, this is his senior year, and now has some playing time...i sense there is more to it.

Agreed, you actually have a chance to do something our brother didn't for once...beat bama, win a championship, and have Sr. Day! Got to be more to this story!

Why are you guys talking as if he made this decision during the off-season?

It’s October and we’re about to start the grind of the SEC. The timing is fricking bizarre

Good luck Lanard, you were a much better player than we all thought.

Yeah I'd rather be getting beat up in practice every day than getting a chance to watch a few games from the stands

it took him a whole offseason and 4 whole games to realize this?

Yeah, it sucks for him that he waited to make this decision now.

He could have been a grad transfer this season and started at a G5 or FCS school.

What is difficult to understand? He thought this was going to be his time. That all the previous years were going to pay off for him to be the man this year. CEH is the man and the freshmen have moved up. That’s sports but that’s all there is to it.

Because he could still be a part of something special? Not everybody solely thinks of me myself and I all the time.

Perhaps he got a real world job offer and it just now came through. He knows he won't be making any money playing football so if he got a job why not start now. He majored in sports admin and with his brothers connections as an NFL player some doors could have opened for him and it may have just taken some time to line up.

I would have thought he would have wanted to stick around to collect his SEC and National Championship rings.

Well damn dude, if you had decided "to move on" back in May, you could have saved a scholarship for someone else.

I don't know who all got the axe, but now we have 84 the rest of the season.

In the USA we have the ability to make a choice, whether others agree with it or not. If it wasn’t worth it to him to just be practicing in 100 degrees every day any more, then so be it.

Best for both parties involved here. We need to get the freshmen more reps and that would be at the expense of his and he clearly wasn't happy about it, so this works out well for him and the team.

If he has already graduated & isnt going pro I don't blame him.

Why risk serious injury?

I don’t give a shite whether he’s on the team or not, but you’re questioning why people think there has to be more to it.

I’m simply saying as an outsider it seems odd to not want to be a part of this team this year. You get access to top flight facilities and are treated like a god at LSU.
