Are they angling in on dollars in civil court?

I think they could be considering a lawsuit for their perceived mishandling of this and how it caused emotional damage to their client.

The only thing Lacy’s lawyer is getting out of this is free publicity. I don’t see where there is any money to be had.

This is more likely.

I think I'm done trying to figure out who is at fault, but I did not like what I saw from his driving. It was incredibly reckless regardless if it caused this crash or not. And I did not like what I heard about how the woman was driving either (if true). I'm still sad he felt he had to take his life. I really regret he did that. I'm not sure if anyone needs to be vilified for their mistakes here, but that's easy for me to say as I didn't lose someone close to me.

Seems like the lawyer needs this case way more than KL did

Eh, I get it, when you represent someone you are convinced did nothing wrong, you do what you can to clear your client's name, especially in a matter of public interest. I can't imagine any right or cause of action Lacy's estate has against LSP or anyone else that could result in a big payday.

The fact that Moscona on his show hyped up people to buy the scam Gamecoin wasn’t a big enough red flag?

LSP muddying the water to circle the wagons around the trooper who coaches a witness to lie in their written statement.

Big surprise.

I count 4 whole seconds. How do you get 1.5? Unless this video is slowed down, you are off by a lot.

There is reason to believe that he was responsible. There is reason to believe that Funyun girl was on her phone or not paying attention as well. The family feels that way, obviously.

So your contention is that because cops might get doxxed (which is deplorable), his family should just not push for what they think is the truth?

Moscona going on tv to interview a professional with high top Jordans on is an even bigger red flag. He wants to be cool so bad

Did Lacy have a large estate?
I can’t imagine that he did. In about 5 more months he would have.

All reasonable people know that Lacy played a role in this wreck. Was he overcharged criminally?… possibly….Maybe. But unfortunately that doesn’t even matter at this point.

It's a combination of him being overcharged, him getting drug through the media, and the LSP coercing a witness.

Lacy’s lawyer put out edited and cropped videos. But you’re not gonna acknowledge that. We all know your agenda. But go on hating the police.

Lacy's family is trying to clear his name. Whats hard about that?

as a parent I understand, I would be fighting hard and I wouldn't be unbiased

but as a fan, looking at this evidence

He was speeding
Passing illegally
Braking hard before the accident
Left the scene without coming to a complete stop
called attorney in 10 minutes

It's guilt 101

change my mind

My only issue is the LSP is trying to have a trial by court of public option for a deceased individual that’s isn’t here to defend himself.

They should have put out a statement that said they stand behind their investigation and their officers and then released all their evidence.

The fact that they had a fully produced video along with commentary is unprofessional for a state agency that is supposed to be above the fray. Especially when that agency isn’t responsible for determining guilt or innocence.

The LSP aren't the ones that started this ordeal. That was his former attorney. He put this in the public space likely believing there would be no rebuttal. He was clearly wrong.

They did.

So you'd rather a written statement over a video diagraming their evidence? That's your opinion.

Personally, I appreciate that they laid out exactly why they came to the conclusion that they did.

Do you think it would in fact be a negative if the LSP purposefully put out a video where audio is not synched to coerce people to taking their position?

Sure.

I also think it's a negative that a defense attorney is putting out cut up and convoluted info to coerce people in taking his position.

Yes he probably would rather that. That way like a lot of people he could just go on believing what he WANTS to believe instead of being challenged with facts.

called attorney in 10 minutes

He called his brothers father. According to his attorney, they didn't talk about legal things.

quote:

He was speeding
Passing illegally
Braking hard before the accident
Left the scene without coming to a complete stop

He was a solid 4 count out of frame when the wreck happens. Attorney claims he was back in his lane when wreck occurred. Funyun lady had a truck in front of her and coulnt' see him. Truck claims he didn't slam on his brakes becasue he wasn't going fast Attorney says he was going 28 mph 2 seconds before the crash. According to her cars "black box" she was going 50mph and hit the brakes 0.5 seconds before impact. speed limit right there is changing from 55 to 40. It really looks like she wasn't paying attention and got caught by the truck being slower than her. The Funyun lady said that the gold truck slammed on his brakes. She was in CYA mode. His statement to the troop said "that lady caused that accident. She was gonna run into me".

ETA: I'm not defending his actions. He was driving like a selfish arse and he would probably be civilly liable, but to act like this chick is innocent is flat out BS. Most accidents occur because of people like her not paying attention and making poor decisions.
