the fact that Lacy wasn’t even the first vehicle to stop and avoid the accident
shows how much time there was before any impact with him.

NFL teams were right about that too - only took a few months for Lacy to fire a gun at a family member and lead cops on a high speed chase

You can make an argument for that for sure, but the case against him in Louisiana was complete horse shite.

You talking about the guy trying to keep his own arse out of liability?

Are you accounting for the oncoming speed of vehicles?

Good point. No because I was referring to the post if you were standing with a car coming at 65mph at you, would you flinch

The argument from his attorney doesn’t disprove anything though. He passed 4 cars in the left lane in front of oncoming traffic. At very high speeds. There was never a suggestion that his car directly caused the wreck, but that his driving like a maniac caused the oncoming traffic to react and led to the deadly accident

To say he was in front of the accident is crazy.

Behind vs. In front.

If you're looking at a map (because North is always on top), KL's vehicle is north of the accident scene.

Gold truck was heading north, so you could technically say KL was in front of the accident as he was driving south.

Semantics.

He wasn’t convicted of anything, there was no wrong doing. They arrested him he got his bail, he was going to have his day in court.

This is a very naive way to look at this. This young man already had issues of some sort. This type of life altering set back put him in a position where he felt there was no other way.

They killed his career with a terrible investigation and he was uninvited to the NfL combine along with facing a grand jury.

The fact that they aren’t pressing charges now is of non concern. The damage to that guy had already been done.

I wish he didn’t take his life and the situation was better but this definitely set him back and on a course where he felt that was his way out.

Very sad all the way around

Honestly they should. That story is a damn tragedy… it’s reminiscent of the Karen Reed “set up”. If you can prove the set up/cover up, then take ‘em out to dry!! I’d bet stuff like these situations happen more than normal folk think and that’s sad.

I back the boys, but the laws have to be the laws for everybody.

Not so fast. The official police report said Lacy was illegally passing and his presence in the wrong lane triggered the accident. Nothing in that video disputes the report. Those people collided as they saw him coming head on and swerved out of his way. He wasn’t behind the accident. He was in front of it.

It's possible he can be considered a reason for the accident, but not the cause of it.

Maybe the truck did indeed brake due to seeing the charger. But the video shows he was not in as I'mI ent danger as he may have felt. Same with the woman behind him. Personally, I don't think she aware there was a charger anywhere near her at the time of impact. I think she was concerned about hitting the truck in front of her. But even if we assume she swerved due to the charger, she too, took unnecessary actions. She was not in as imminent danger as she believed. Lacy was way too far ahead of the accident.
I do concede that people don't drive off the road, or into oncoming traffic for no reason. I'm sure they both felt an imminent need to do so. But unfortunately, those actions weren't totally warranted based on the timing of things in the video.

When the state trooper was requesting the statement, did they even know KL was the driver?

No. I believe it was stated on the video they were still looking for the driver.

Funyun eater that swerved into oncoming traffic and caused accident did not see a green charger until after she killed someone.

Also, the killers speed was 49.something........wasn't she speeding?

I dont think it was stated.

Accident was December 17.
Body cam video of LSP trying to get a witness statement was December 22.

I’m assuming that they did by that time. Charger they color can’t possibly be that difficult to locate through the system.
