Mid range to late first round pick guarantees him going to a team that is, at least, competitive. Even though he won’t get high, top 15 money, he might be better off in the long run.

I would be interested in seeing what BTjr actually gets back as a draft grade. He's listed from anywhere as the 3rd best WR to the 16th best WR in this class. That's a pretty big disparity that he could clear up with another year and this great WR class going pro a year ahead of him.

NFL Draft history
2023 - 4 WRs in 1st round, 4 in 2nd round
2022 - 6 WRs in 1st round, 7 in 2nd round
2021 - 5 WRs in 1st round, 5 in 2nd round

It'll be interesting. Personally, I can't see how he's not in the top 4 WRs taken off the board. Some GMs may knock him for playing opposite Malik. Some guys below him today might run a sub 4.4 and GMs rank them higher. You just never know.

maybe if we had a defense with a pulse but even then would be stupid to come back. Who would pass up all that sure money?

Lol no. While the others had zero to prove and more to lose, it's not really guaranteed that BTJ was going in the first round. The more he does (playing in the game and the combine) the more his status could improve. He had a little to lose and a lot to gain by playing. More importantly the coaches and the players didnt mind Nabors and Daniels sitting. Why does it bother your arse so bad? You haven't done shite. Also since we're here...who was actually there for the team and who didn't show up. Because I would like to point out the Lance Heard wasn't even with the team. That's what I have a problem with. Not the other shite.

Lacy and Hilton will be the new elite pair next year. Let BTJ go. It is your time, my friend.

I would love for him to come back for one more season, but I think it'd be dumb move. He needs to go to the draft.

He is a late first round draft pick.

I would not mind the Saints pick him up as a replacement for Michael Thomas.

BTJ is gone, but your numbers are a little skewed.

Justin Jefferson made about $2M his rookie year as a first round pick. Technically BTJ could make that in a yr with NIL

BT is very quiet and humble. When I say quiet, I mean he is just always there and plays the game.

I hope he comes back but would love to see him make millions

If BTJ comes back and replicates his performance from this year. He would leave LSU as the all time leader in yards, catches, and rec touchdowns.

He needs 63 receptions, 1107 yards, and 3 TDs to break all 3 records.

(Not that he's coming back.)

He made 7.8 million his first year. He got his signing bonus up front but in cap terms it’s spread over 4 years since it was all guaranteed money.

That’s a typical contract for the first 2 rds. Bonus money is paid up front.

Nah. You're not counting his signing bonus.

What? Nobody is giving BTJ $2 million to come back for 1 year. They wouldn't even give that to Malik.

You aren't suggesting BK push him out the door right?

Yep. Lacy already knows he’s leaving. You can tell that they are just joking around.

Bruh those guys get guaranteed contracts, you’re gonna get 8 figures if you’re drafted in the first round.
