I don't know the details on this, so I'm assuming you mean academic.
Maybe in general we shouldn't focus our energy on dumb guys in smart positions. If you want to jump through academic hoops, do it for a pass rusher or a defensive tackle. Maybe don't do it for a Center or a Safety.

I will preface my comments with the fact that I am a Zachary homer but damn this guy played well when he got in. I never saw him get burned or miss a play although he did not play much. I never understood why he did not see the field more this year with the poor players we had in front of him.

was shocked that he did not play more this year. if i remember correctly spears played way more than he did. it says he played in all 12 games but i never remember seeing him on the field.

Spears played in 10 games on defense 178 snaps
Jackson played in 7 games on defense 50 snaps
