I think you lost who I was addressing with my statement. This wasn’t a message about Koy. I’ve been profiled myself, I’m speaking to the people who are so quick to judge this 18 year old college freshman by asking what he did.

How do you take what I said and apply that to it? I’m saying we need more empathy and less assumptions about people. There’s no “us and them” there’s only a “we”

Why not just put cameras in vehicles as well facing both front and back.... Imagine the criminals we could catch.

What a shitty fricking response. If you’ve ever seen an interview with Koy, you know he’s a stand up guy. I doubt VERY seriously he’d do this for attention, unlike you with your bullshite arse comment.

Read his post. Seems like a suspect who fit his description was in the area and reported as armed. He obeyed a lawful command, was searched, and let go. No one was injured. What are they supposed to do? Not pursue the suspect or get shot because they don’t approach the situation seriously? I hope some of you people who shite on the police all time get robbed at gunpoint or assaulted since you complain about law enforcement all the time.

Yes it is, but also the way Koy is handling it is shitty. File a complaint with the BRPD and the city. If nothing comes of it, then speak to social media to get a bigger light shone on it. Going straight to social media just gives your side of the incident and stokes the flames before all the facts come out. I'm not going to pass judgement on anyone, Koy or the police, until an investigation happens and information is given out.

Hey man, is it shitting on police if you think charging a civilian with weapons drawn demanding to see a nonexistent weapon is a bad situation?

I answered the cop’s questions respectfully and all was good.
Police are just trying to catch bad guys. Are there some that are bad? Yes, and we should root them out.
But the vast majority are just doing their jobs, and putting their lives on the line every day.
And I respect the hell out of them.

Yeah, you must know him personally. Everyone is an angel when you only get to hear their side of everything.

I am not white, I am very black. On I-35 just outside Austin I got stopped, stripped butt naked and sat in the dirt while the cops tore my truck apart looking for cocaine. They accused me of being part of a Mexican gang and to this day I'm on a hot list anytime I get stopped in TX. It was a latino and black cop that pulled this crap. Wouldn't even double cuff me (I'm large enough where it is a problem for elbows and shoulders).
The shite cops come up with sometimes blows me away. Most of this crap wouldn't happen if they would just admit when they make a mistake an not take it so damn far.

A lot of people who claim to support personal freedom seem to be totally ok with police drawing arms on a civilian who wasn't arrested or found to be guilty of anything.

I'm fine with personal freedom but can we put a camera in your car to make sure police and citizens are both in compliance?

Maybe big government can make that the next thing they mandate for vehicle to increase the costs like they did with back up cameras.
