Side thought, if Frey had ran through 2nd base on that close play when ariel went to tag 2nd, instead of sliding, we might have plated a run there

He pitched his arse off after that first inning.
They definitely didn't know what pitches were coming after that hence all the strike outs

I wouldn't have minded and Albert Belle/Fernando Vina style running through the bag.

Pitcher can tip pitches in a number of different ways from how they position their glove, to how they dig into the glove, how they position their head, and how they align themselves on the mound. Good teams study tendencies. When I played college ball, we did all of those things. This is how we, when I played, were able to steal close to 200 bases as a team. Pitchers have major tendencies that can be exploited.

We would have. I’ve seen that several times in the majors.

Unless for safety reasons college has a must slide rule.

I rewatched the first inning. Prior to Milam’s mound visit Evans was holding the baseball in his hand behind his leg before going to the glove a fair amount. After the mound visit by Milam he did not do that anymore.

I coached a group of HS ball players at 16 years old who wanted to play a few tournaments. One of my players was an expert at deciphering the other teams’ signals. Man, he was awesome at it. To Ryan B.

I hope there is an extremely harsh penalty for such behavior.

How is that faster? You can't run through the bag. You would have to start slowing down as your reaching the bag if you go standing.

No, he is saying to run through the bag. You’re essentially giving up yourself for an out, but you are turning it into a tagged out not a force out and therefore stealing a run. It’s hard to expect him make that split decision to do that, however, it has been done before in MLB

FIFY

And would've been okay with me... NAH, not really. Don't like to see any players (ours OR theirs) really get hurt.

Do you know how it works?

Not specifically.

But, I understand basic radio communications and message encryption.

My assumption was that these things would almost be impossible to steal without getting one of the receivers from LSU.

Fill me in.

All true. The catcher can tip pitches as well. Everyone has a tendency.
