Kling swinging at eye level balls to strike out was awful as well.

Had it worked out he wouldn’t have had to hit.

I’m prepared for my downvotes

Kling was connecting better before the lineup changed, had he been kept in & had consistent AB’s I think he would have continued to improve.
I’m not going to bash him when there were plenty of others with terrible AB’s.
I hope Kling finds his groove this summer & we see a big improvement next season.

All those were on the opposite side of the bracket…

The numbers agree with this.

I just wonder what’s next with Kling offensively. I’m not hitting coach, but he seems to have a grooved swing and decides on whether or not he’s going to swing the bat before the ball is pitched. It’s going to take some drastic adjustments to fix his swing, and I feel like that’s something that everyone has to be on board with to happen.

One of the most disappointing things with him is that he’s hitting for no power. His bat was always questionable, but he was supposed to be a potential 5 tool guy if he learned to make contact.

I agree with you JML..... Kling still has talent and potential.... sometimes baseball is a matter of small adjustments and hard work.... I truely hope he will be a true baseball redemption story.

Had a nice little run? We lost in regionals, what run are you referring to??? We didn’t accomplish anything. Losing in SECT and Regional final as an 2 seed aren’t things to be proud of.

it says a lot about you if you watched a 10-inning game and Kling's 1 AB stands out to you. If says even more about you if you felt the need to start TWO threads about the same at bat.

Kling can't hit. And, he's very far behind with even the basics.

He swung at 3 straight balls in a huge spot last night.

That's not a guy who has a disciplined approach. It's a guy who doesn't understand his limits.

He's a below average hitter who will often swing at pitches out of the zone. That's not going to work out.

If you are some run of the mill program, they definitely are. However you are right, LSU touts itself as “the” premiere baseball program in the country, this was a wildly unsuccessful season, a true “major disappointment “.

We were far from the best team, but were Coastal Carolina or Fresno state even close to the best team when they won?

That said, I think this team went as far as chalk suggested, and it was a fun run

Maybe Kling makes a 3rd year jump like a Kramer Robertson. We can hope.

I don’t think he leaves for the draft. He would be selling at a time that his stock is incredibly low. If he leaves, it would be more likely from transferring to a school that he is going to play it imo. We just don’t know where his head is as a DES going into his 3rd year.

Think Cade Beloso has the same issues as Kling. Maybe after an off season Kling will find his swing much like Cade

There is a reason that pitch gets tons of people out on swing and miss. It ain’t just Kling

Can insert T.Tanks in there, as well. Great tiger but wasn't able to connect in crucial at bats.

Not sure why at this point but Kling is not the answer.

Relax bro. I never said anything about the team as a whole. There was a few very bad instances that contributed to the loss and that was one. You can’t deny that bad hitting and Brown,s drop weren’t major factors in the loss. This team is young with a lot room for improvement but don’t deny reality.
