Unfortunately I don’t disagree.
College sports are broken with the portal. College athletes can transfer out, yet not even professional athletic can do that.
My opinion: all college athletes who receive NIL money must sign a three year contract to play for one school. Only in limited circumstances can they transfer out with immediate eligibility: death in family, coach leaves, degree program cancelled.

i'm sorta of this opinion too... the coaching, at this point, is the easy part... keeping your roster intact and adding more talent, that's the tough part, and it's a yearly struggle...

Kim will be OK. I'm going to bet that she has learned a few lessons about recruiting in the transfer portal age.
Her high school recruiting that served her so well at Baylor will also have to adapt. Staley is grabbing all these McDonald's All-Americans, while the only one Mulkey has recruited for LSU was Del Rosario. (yikes!)

It's not so much about the coaches anymore. That's why Saban left. It's more about $$$and Kim knows that.

I'll say it again. The NCAA must eliminate the free transfer option. Student gets a free pass if injured, coach leaves, or graduates early. Otherwise make them sit out a year upon transfer. Playing time is what matters to these young athletes. If they have to sit out, they likely don't transfer.

A coach with 4 titles across two programs isn’t “everyone else,” dumbass, even if there is one coach still one level above her currently.

Money has totally ruined college sports. But wish I had an answer for it, but I don't. The only answer probably would be the fans stop going, but that will never happen. There just isn't any pride in going to your school anymore and staying there.
