What is she supposed to say? My former player pled guilty to bringing illegal drugs into Russia? Perhaps she should call Putin and ask him to let her go. Mulkey will stand by what she said or in this case did not say.

Her comments are great for recruiting smh. Could've said we are thinking of her and praying for her. But hey she a hero to the commie government boot-lickers on the Rant, that worship authoritarian governments that lock people up for nearly 9 years for a plant. Those cheering for Griner's imprisonment are the greatest threat to American freedom. Just really sickos cheering for someone being locked up in a foreign jail because they disagree with her politics.

Who are these "commie loving" bootlicking sickos you talk of, big group? names? I have know idea who you are referring to...

Imagine declining to comment and that gets all the little pussies of the world all bent out of shape. So if she commented and said "I wish her the best" that would have somehow been better?

Of course not. Then the response would have been, "That's all she could be bothered to say"

It's true Griner fricked up, should have known better and is suffering the consequences.

It's also true Griner is being used as a political pawn by the Russians. The two things are not mutually exclusive. She probably was allowed through any number of other times with weed until the Russians found it convenient to set her up. There are no coincidences in Russia. She should have been more situationally aware.

This may hurt Mulkey with one constituency but help her with another. A lot of parents are uneasy with the strong lesbian influence in WBB and Griner is one of the higher profile lesbians. Mulkey has been sidestepping those issues for a long time.

Damn, you took that strawman down hard. I can only imagine how brutally you would destroy a position that someone has actually taken.

No comment isn’t feeding creativity either People forgot the whole Point of PC was to just not offend people To the point of getting in some kind of trouble. It’s not that people used to be able to speak their minds freely without an consequences. If there was No consequences people Wouldn’t have started trying to avoid them.

It all starts out with a choice. It’s the old way or the new way. Then it slowly becomes there’s only one way, and the old way is somehow criminal or so apprehensible that you must have your whole career ruined.
You guys can keep making excuses for this treatment by people inside of a bubble but it’s philosophy will eat it’s own as well, good luck!

“Highly clutch” I have never even heard of them. She has already wished her well. No more needs to be said. Mulkey is in no position to help her with a foreign affair. This is not newsworthy and most people won’t care. This is a foreign issue that should used as a lesson learned.

She also chose to break the law in Russia.
I have no skin in the game either way but how they frick you know she "chose" to break that law? You know this for a fact don't you smart guy? And maybe she did but you don't fricking know shite. Only what you've seen reported or heard.

Her account is it was an accident that it was there because she was in a hurry. Once again, maybe all a lie. But maybe it is true and you don't know shite.

Are you stupid? She admitted to it. Plead guilty. Even if it was an “accident” she still broke the law.

All questions unrelated to LSU and her current players are to be ignored and not addressed. This should be the norm for all coaches. Politics and social issues should never be part of a sports press conference. If I want to see politics in sports then have the DC crowd form their teams and hopefully there will be multiple concussion protocol on both sides in the game. To have a concussion would require having a brain...scratch the concussions.

She would have been more of a villain taking either side. Staying neutral is the smart thing to do.
