Kim is a household name. It wouldn’t take very long to flip a roster IF she came in. That wouldn’t be an issue.

am a huge LSU fan but a Baylor alum. My understanding is from my friends that follow all that is Baylor athletics is that Mulkey is pissed that the new basketball arena is going in off campus on the other side of I-35 and not where the school had promised. I am just passing along what I am hearing from people I know that have legitimate connections to the Baylor athletic program. I am sure there is way more to it than that but we shall see if it's just a pipe dream or not

Leaving a job because you're mad about their new arena so you could now work at the PMAC would be funny.

The point the OP was making is that allegedly, Baylor made a promise and didn't follow through.

In regards to the PMAC, building a new arena has been thrown around for years.
That will probably happen sooner if LSU ever offers her the job.

Kim Mulkey would not “cover up” any wrong-doing at Baylor or LSU.

This lady led Hammond HS to FOUR consecutive state championships while maintaining a 4.0 gpa!!

She led La Tech to NC and NC finals while maintaining a 4.0 gpa.

She led the USA to the Olympic Gold.

She assisted Leon Barmore and learned from his coaching genius.

Baylor hired her away from Tech, but she was to succeed Barmore.

Look at what Kim Mulkey achieved at Baylor. She is a tireless worker, very intelligent!!!

Back in the day of AIAW she cast her lots with La Tech and Barmore, but she grew up loving LSU. She sent her son to LSU and was a regular in BR, for his career.

Pay her and honor her. She is a fierce leader and coach. In the future, she’d be a great AD, if Woodward would decide to do other things. IMO, she could be a transformative hire and leader!!!

Did you even read the post? It is about Optics.
Dale Brown and Johnny Jones were “cleared” in Lester Earl, but if you ask anyone they would have had to have known.

Just because you’re cleared, doesn’t mean you didn’t hear whispers. The fact is MONEY changes everything and that very thing you mentioned about being a fierce competitor drives people to bend the rules like a Nick Saban.

I know as a matter of fact that in the 1980’s LSU MBB players “earned money” riding around in a truck for a company that a booster owned. Saw them cash their checks.

John Williams used to hang out with a Bookie at the tracks in Cali.

I’m not saying she covered anything up or did anything illegal with the Baylor Title IX mess. Not at all. I’m saying that when the entire AD and President are taken out, it raises flags.
It is about Optics.

That’s an unverified account. I wouldn’t put too much stock in it. That said, *crosses fingers*

Good grief, are you back with this turd of a completely unsubstantiated or supported opinion again today?

You said yourself that Mulkey wasn’t implicated. Period. End of discussion. Let it go and stop trying to fabricate something that just isn’t there.

Provide a link of any kind from any reputable source linking her to what happened under Briles, or please stfu with your nothingburger opinion.

you think women's basketball will have any material impact on a decision for a new arena???

I can't see into the future. But I definitely think it can. if we have, both, a winning Men's BB team AND a Women's bb team, then the value of a new Ariana or drastic upgrades to the PMAC are much more palpable. One or the other, maybe, but with both being successful, then the value is there. Winning puts butts in the seats. We saw that in the late 90's and early 00's with Sue as HC, then carried on a few years with Pokey.

Yeah if Mulkey and Wade are leading the charge together, the new basketball arena is happening sooner rather than later.

Combine it with the success of Gymnastics, then you only need the Volleyball program to step up its game.

But Volleyball probably draw the least of the 4 programs referenced. It's easier to justify an improvement for 4 sports instead of just one or two.

If someone like Kim is hired, I would think it would help actually. If they hired and unknown, likely not.
