There is a such thing as a coach trying to build his team over s 2/3 yr period. This year's team is just the beginning. Football hasnt changed, no matter what rules/money has done infiltrated the game.

Well we did in the first game.

But on a different note, why do you need to see him?

Do you not think the coaches have seen them in practice? Or perhaps you don't trust that they can decide which QB will give us a better chance to win?

I mean you are paid nothing to get LSU football to win. These guys are paid millions. Just a guess here but I think they are better at assessing this than you.

Or maybe you don't think the coaches are paying attention in practice? They are just what, drinking and getting with young coeds?

So what do we realistically expect? I mean realistically I hope they make the playoffs. That is pretty difficult especially with their schedule. But that is about it. Unrealistically obviously the championship, but that would be a bit much. We can hope for that. Lust for that, but we likely won't get it

I understand everyone wants to see with their own eyes. But I trust these coaches. They aren't going to play someone if another player on the bench gives them a better chance to win.

Everyone knows what the issue is. Leavitt just has to decide if he wants to be coached or not.

Slow everything you do down. Drop backs needs to be slower, foot work needs to be slower, go through your reads and make plays with your feet when you need to.

As of the first 3 weeks, everything about his game is EXTREMELY chaotic and panicked. His throwing motion is also awkward, but I'm not sure if you can correct that in the middle of SEC play.

If he can do that, the sky is the limit for this team.

This is what a lot of people seem to forget or don't understand. Sure, we all want Leavitt to be Heisman Burrow or Daniels, but coming off an injury and missing so much time last year and spring practice this year is going to mess with any QB, but especially one in college making the transition from the Big 12 to the SEC.

Timing is very important on offense and you can tell he doesn't quite have the timing down yet. He's also been getting happy feet, which I'm guessing is partly because the game is moving really fast for him right now after missing so much time. Could also be messing with his confidence just a tad which is why you see him pulling it down to run when there are open receivers down field. He's not going through all his progressions and instead is running.

I think he'll start to settle down some, but I'm not sure how much can be changed during the season. He seems to be a hard worker and he's put his body on the line many times so far through 3 weeks. It's looking like he'll be back in college next year barring something crazy happening. If so, I think he'll be very dangerous in this offense given he stays in college and at LSU. He'll have a full off-season to work with Kiffin and Co and all his teammates as well.

I understand the struggles can be difficult to watch. I'm not sure the backups would be any better, but can certainly be much worse. Clark struggled with accuracy at Elon. That won't get better in the SEC. Husan hasn't played much in college, but by all accounts he really struggled in spring and fall camp, which is partly why he's number 3 QB now after being the backup for almost all of fall camp.
